First up on this Funky of Fridays, is a NuDisco track from Copyac called Shouldabeen. It has a great classic NuDisco vibe mixed in with some great tonality and a driving bassline. This one just put me in a great mood!
Also for you musical enjoyment today is the VIP mix of GRiZ's track A Fine Way To Die and let me tell you that this one is just classic GRiZ. Its tonally amazing with catchy beats that aren't particulary dancey but they are funky as hell. Of course it is full of horns, with stellar instrumentation, and great builds (but what GRiZ song doesn't have these things).
Isosine is the king of mashups. Everything he does is usually either "how the fuck did he think of that" or "oh my god this guy is a fucking genius". His new summer mix is more the second one. Its a pretty great mashup that goes for about 11 minutes, true there are some jump cuts in it but it still blows my mind. Plus the continuous mashed up video is always a bonus. Also up today is a FutureFunk collab for the ages, GRiZ and Big Gigantic come together to make Good Times Roll. This track is literally as off the chain as you can be. It has everything you want, horns, catchy vocals, a great build, and a drop that just has amazing instrumentation and feel. Give it a listen, and funk up your day!
You guys know I love instrumentation in songs, especially horns, piano, and saxophone. This track I found from Lea Rue features some really slick horns in the chorus. Yeah it sounds fairly generic but the horns give the chorus a whole new feel. Broiler really brings it with this remix, and even though it's not the most original track in the world, it is still worth listening to!
Also up today with some sweet instrumentation is the Autograf remix of GRiZ's track For the Love. Its has such an amazing groove to it, and the piano is truly a beautiful addition to the track. I fell in love when I heard rap, because I have fallen in love with rap and electronic collabs. This one is for sure different, and will not be bumped at shows, but will remain a musical solace for all of us to enjoy.

First up on this free one day delay is a track from GRiZ featuring Muzzy Bearr. Its funky, and it has a really great groove to it. SoulFunk is a pretty insane genre but it has such great vibe to it. Give it a listen and pick up the free download!
Second up is a Glitch Hop track from Defqwop called Coming Home. It has great groove, really well done vocals, and an incredible funk drop. It has such a great dance feel and I would love to get down on the dance floor to this one. Give it a listen and pick up the free download!

Griz the king of funk is back again with a preview of his next album set to release March 31st. His track funk party will be a free download and from what I have read the whole album may be as well. Really looking forward to that and you should really too, because the songs I have heard off this album so far put great expectations on the whole album. Funk party is smooth, groovy, funky, and just fucking phenomenal. Give it a listen and have a great weekend!
Today I have two really cool tracks for you, one from Feed Me and a new one from GRiZ. Feed Me brings a new heavy electro track that really sets their tone for their new year. After a huge 2014 they are starting the new year off with a really big song, Wuzzle. Very bouncy and gritty, this one sticks to their style and really surprised me. Overall, I am not a huge fan of the heavy stuff because it is usually too much and overwhelming. This one I really enjoyed though, give it a listen!
Second up is a new song from GRiZ. Using his unique Funk and Soul Style, he brings in IDA Hawk to provide some killer vocals. Using all original instrumental stuff, I really fell in love with this one. After his first album was such a big success, it was amazing to see that he still has it. He is working on a new album and looking forward to his big tour coming in a few months (hitting Columbus and Chicago). Enjoy!
Today I have a really spectacular GRiZ remix that feels very jazzy and smooth funk track, one of the most unique and beautiful tracks I have heard in a long time. It is very good feeling, very all over the place, and just an overall amazing track. There are vocals, but they are overpowered massively by the bass and the rhythms that come out of a strange funk/moombah/bounce hybrid. Give it a listen and Happy Grizmas!
Banger Wednesday! Today I have two very exciting things to share with you all!
The first is a truly incredible track shared by my good friend DJ XMFD, who I have mentioned and never introduced (sorry dude). For those of you that don't know him, he is an incredibly talented DJ out of my former home town in Cleveland Ohio. He has incredible talent mixing music, and is a regular on the Convention-Rave circut. I know he is a frequent reader of this bog (sorry for sharing so much music you gave me, but its all too good!), and you should check him out on soundcloud (Check DJ XMFD's Soundcloud Here!). He shared a track the other day that quite literally blew my mind, and I can not think of a better example of what a perfect Banger is. Deorro is fairly new on the scene, and most things I have heard from him have been pretty good, everything has at least been above the average. THIS ONE THOUGH, is seriously one of the best tracks I have heard in months. From the first note, the track is different, and hooks intrigue with a surprising initial build. Progressive has been my favorite sub-genre since I heard Nicky Romero's track Camorra some years ago, and this does the genre DAMN proud. Take a listen and prepare yourself, because there is no way you are ready for this.
The second piece of music I bring you today is straight from one of the funkiest artists around today, GRiZ. Today he dropped his new LP which is full of tracks that get your blood flowing with a voracity that is rarely seen in music today. The amount of soul and funk that he infuses into this album is seriously mind-blowing. The album is a nice combination, covering all ends of the spectrum for funk, soul, and electro as a whole. The best part? You can pick it up right now. FOR FREE. Seriously, even if you aren't a fan of these genres in electro music, or you have never heard of Future Funk or Electro Soul, give this album a try because I have been listening to it pretty much non stop ever since I woke up about 3 hours ago (even quietly at work because I can't bring myself to turn it off) and I could listen to it all day. It looks like the download will only be for about a week until the album is released SO PICK IT UP ASAP. My favorite song so far off the album is either Gettin' Live that was release about 6 months ago, or Simple feat. Floozies. What do you think of the album? Let me know in the comments!
