Welcome back to another edition of What The Fuck. Today's track comes from Offbeat called 90's kid. Saying this song is strange doesn't even begin to cover it. The content is cool, talking about stuff from the 90's that I'm sure a number of us grew up with and love, and trash talking everyone born after '96 for claiming to be a 90's kid. Classified as Electro Swing Hop (....sure) this one has very little beat change, mainly focusing on the rap, with a bit of instrumentation including the occasional saxophone. It is really catchy, but at the same time I really can't tell if I like it or not. So it is welcomed to the WTF music day.
OK after that....lets actually do a song I know that I enjoyed for today as well. Indie Dance never really appealed to me as a genre when I first heard a few things from it, but it is starting to grow on me the more and more I hear. This track from WRLD called Little Too Close, has really helped to solidify that it is rising quick in my favorite genre list. Little Too Close is just a feel good dance song that I can totally see myself grooving to, and totally have in the car before! Give it a listen, and groove away to this really futuristic sounding musical experience!
First up on day four of this Free Week is a track from Diamond Eyes and Christina Grimmie. I remember watching videos of Christina on Youtube years ago right when she was starting to get popular, so its really cool to see her on official tracks! This is a really chilled out remix from WRLD and does Future Bass a lot of good by keeping things beautifully tonal and progressive. Give it a listen!
Second up is a track from Johnny Third feat. See called Shadows. I had to listen to this one 5 or 6 times before I was for sure putting it up here. It just seemed to get better every time I listened to it, and I really want to share it with you all. Killer vocals mixed with great chord progression really bring this one to a special place in my heart!

Monstercat's new category Indie Dance has really been making me happy over the past few weeks. Sorry this one is kinda rushed as I am in between meetings all day. Both 7 Minutes Dead and WRLD & Richard Caddock released stellar Indie Dance songs in the past few days. While both have a similar sound, the track from 7 Minutes Dead seems much more chill to me but the track from WRLD and Caddock seems much more dancey and party worthy. Give them both a listen and let me know what you think of them!
