0633 - 3LAU DAY

So 3LAU's birthday was 3 days ago, and as part of his celebration he released Dance Floor Filth 5 for free!  10 free tracks including remixes, mashups, and even an original track!  I'll be sharing my favorite mashup, remix, and the original from the album but I encourage you to download the entire album and find your own favorite!

So we will start with the remixes.  As much as I hate Justin Bieber as a person, I have to say his music is maturing and I am actually starting to enjoy it.  When 3LAU got his hands on Bieber's new track Sorry, he really produces something exquisite.


My favorite remix from the album 3LAU's track Always and Walk the Moon's top 40 smash Shut Up and Dance.  This remix is amazing, I love the great transition into the drop after the vocals are used flawlessly.  Enjoy!


The original off the album from 3LAU is HSTFU and it features Lazer Lazer Lazer.  This is more of a big room feel track and is different than the other stuff on this album, but I actually enjoyed this one a lot.  Great feel, a great bounce vibe that I can totally see myself jumping to in the front row!

0585 - 3 Days In, Get Through The Rest!

First song today is from Snails called Frogbass, now let me warn you that this one is a bit strange but I really pick up what it's putting down.  It has a strange tonal bass track that caught me totally off guard.  Like I said, its strange, but it has a bizarre flow and arrangement to it that really caught my attention.  I hope you rock out to it as much as I did!
Also up today is a banger remix of The Night from 3LAU and Nom De Strip from ak9.  This one had everything I like; classic vocals, a great progression, a dash of funk vibe, and a big drop that left me with a smile on my face and groovin in my car.  Give this one a listen because it is one of the best electro remixes I have heard in some time.  Enjoy!

0331 - It's an IsoSine

If you were around in the early days of this blog, you might remember some Isosine mashups being posted.  Well apparently he disappeared for a little bit and has been running into some copyright issues with youtube (because he likes to mashup up the videos too which is apparently a no no), but he is back!  His new mashup takes the background of a Lady Gaga Song, Vocals from Schoolboy Q and BoB, and feat T.I. and Juicy Jay.  Its got great flow and the dominant parties of Schoolboy Q and Lady Gaga go extremely well.  I hope this means he is back and more mashups are en route, or maybe another album!

Also off his new album Dance Floor Filth 2 (a free download), 3LAU brings us an incredible edit of Kernkraft 400's classic track Zombie Nation.  It has incredible flow and I can easily see this killing at festivals, sporting events, and maybe even block parties!

0321 - Countdown to Something Different

So I want to try something new today.  The reason I love this blog is because you all get involved and share your favorite music the same way I share mine.  So I am introducing top lists that I want everyone to help expand and update.  Each month on the first day of the month I will release one or two documents containing my own personal top 5 list for a certain genre.  In addition to my list, I ask that you write your own as well!  Add your favorite songs from that genre, or even just songs you are really enjoying.  Sometimes I find that even generic songs are great every once in a while.  My personal list will be posted here, as well as the master list which will be in the Facebook group.  If you aren't a member of it, please join!  This will start tomorrow and the first category is Relaxing/Chill music!

3LAU is one of those artists where I seem to be drawn to his work.  Everything from Dance Floor Filth mashups to his current work, he continues to amaze me with his work.  This remix from Skrux really gives his work a whole new vision as it really is beautifully done.  Super relaxing, keeping the great vocals, and maintaining the originality, this remix is really spectacularly done.  Give it a listen and overall decide for yourself.

0197 - Flash to Hump Day

This week is seemingly going very quickly, I don't know why but I am totally ok with it.

The first banger that I am sharing with you today comes from Thomas Fronix and is called Flash, which is the perfect title because the song is so good it seems to be over too quickly.  Great heavy bass coming in with some toned down tonality to fit the heavy sounding vibe.  I can see this one making huge splashes in mixes and festivals.  It has that big room feel without being big room and.....bad.  Pick up the free download and let me know what you think!

The other track i have for you today is one that I hope you have heard already.  This is one of the new ones from 3LAU (pronounced BLAU), who for the record has been on a hot streak lately.  Jesus he is so talented.  AND HEY! If you can make it to columbus for his show tickets are only $15.  This one is called How You Love Me and its very well done, with great vocals, and just an overall danceable and exciting feel.

065 - Free Stuff All Over the Walls

Today I have decided to go a little off the walls and share two huge free musical opportunities that I have discovered in the last few days.  It is the least I can do for all of the support and love reflected in the following of this blog.

First up!  I hope you have heard of 3LAU (pronounced Blau) by this point, but even if you haven't, you will enjoy this mix.  Since the last day of Electric Zoo in New York got cancelled, 3LAU had a big list of all the stuff he wanted to play but never got a chance to.  So he mixed it anyway and is now releasing it for a free download.  The set is roughly an hour with 48 songs mixed into a set that is just over an hour.  For sure worth you time!  I love stuff like this because when you look at the music breakdown by song, you can discover awesome tracks that you know already mix well together!

Second, we have an incredible house remix offered to listeners from ThisSongisSick, and they give away a lot of free music so following them is a no-brainer.  This remix is a real dirty remix of what I would guess to be an indie dance song, and the whole thing is really incredible.  Tchami does a really exceptional job and the song keeps things moving from start to finish and has a pretty unique drop. 026 - Even E.T. Loves Mondays

I will keep you posted about the future posting times for music, because as I start my real job today, I have no idea when I will have time to post songs.  Today I am getting it done as early as I can, to start the week off right!  Today for Mashup Monday we have a remash of an excellent track by Kap Slap called E.T. Feels Starry Eyed.  3LAU took it and mashed it again, leaving listeners with a truly memorable track that gets stuck in your head pretty quickly and will change the original versions of all included songs forever.  Enjoy!

Monday is humpday and is especially tough, even over the summer, so today I bring you something with a little extra umph. 3LAU (pronounced Blau) is one of the top tier mashup artists, making unique things that would blow you out of the water.
