0376 - Back at last, Back at last

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday and I am very glad to say that the blog is back to its everyday posting!  Relax this week while you still hopefully have some time off and lets get back into the music!

First up today is a free track from Lush and Simon called Stellar.  The track has their signature feel to it, and mixes in great chill moments along with killer tonality and big heavy bass.  This one would kill at parties, as it is extremely dancable with its smooth house feel.  Overall, an extremely solid track from one of my favorite duos, give it a listen and pick up the download!

0338 - Elemental Reverie

Two big tracks for you today on this day before Friday.

Been doing more delving into non-vocal stuff and I think I have found two really great things for you.  The first is a Trance song from Lush & Simon and Uforik called Hydrogen.  Usually trance strikes me as generic and all the same but this one spoke to me very clearly.  It has great tonality and an overall exceptional flow.  Bass in all the right places mixed in made this a very surprising track!

Up second on the docket of today's musical agenda is a great progressive house track from Pessto and Drik B.  I had honestly never heard of them until this track, but this will for sure keep them on my radar.  A great tonal track with a driving theme to it, Reverie has a sense of urgency that gives it a really great energy!

0220 - Don't hit the Wonderwall

I first heard this song when Tritonal dropped it at their show in Columbus a short while ago.  And holy shit has it been stuck in my head ever since, so I looked around and finally found it.  This mashup is really really fucking good.  A perfect mix of two songs that you would never pick to put together.  Wonderwall by Oasis and Lush & Simon's City of Lights.  Shato and Paul Rockseek really knock this one out of the park, so give it a listen and pick it up for free!

0211 - Two Huge for Tuesday

Two huge tracks for you today, and one is free (although honestly I wish the other had been free instead).

The first comes from Lush & Simon and Tom Swoon and seems to be gaining some popularity.  This radio edit of Ahead of Us has catchy progression, great vocals that really add a vibrant nature to the song.  Give it a listen, its a pretty good track to start off the day with!

Next up is Shaun Frank's Club cover of John Newman's Love Me Again, a song that is great by itself.  This remix just takes it to an entirely new level, with a really sick drop that still keeps the tonality of the original and just reworks it into something really extraordinary.  You can also pick up this cover for free by following the link.  Better then the original?  You tell me!

0103 - MY LEG

This is the song I associate with the phrase "MY LEG" a phrase my friends and I use to notify the other team members that we are in trouble while playing online games.  Mostly because, everytime someone has said it in the last few days, this song has been playing.  If you read this blog pretty frequently, you know how big of a fan of progressive house I am.  Its consistanly my favorite genre hands down, and trust me that is not going to change anytime soon (although bounce and funky are a close tie for 2nd).  The song has literally everything you could ever want in a great prog. house song; exquisite build, tonality that you will be humming for days, and just a great overall feeling in your body, one that few tracks can grant me these days it seems.  Enjoy this one and I will see you back here tomorrow!  Same time, same good music, nothing wrong with that.

068 - Fight as a Warrior

I love bangers.  There, I said it.  Big tracks that get everyone pumped up and dancing like they have lost their mind put me on a new level of obsession.  These tracks are the reason I love electronic music, and music in general.  Vocals that appeal to everyone, nice lulls in the correct places to bring the song together, and then huge drops in order to blow everyone's mind.  This song seems pretty off the beaten path, and these kinds of songs are the ones that I love to share.  I could share artists like Tiesto and Avicii everyday for a year, but selling the underdog and getting new artists noticed and into the scene is one of the reasons I do this blog (along with a love for music and sharing it with people).  After hearing the original, but Lush and Simon do a really excellent job of bringing this track to life, and I honestly like this remix much better.  That is the glory of remixing though, you can take a beautiful song in an entirely different direction and surprise everyone! I don't see why this track is not huge, but I couldn't wait to share it with you all.  I hope it pleasures your eardrums as much as it appealed to mine!
