You guys know I love SCNDL, almost everything they have put out has amazed me and the new track Meant To Be is a wonderful Future and Bounce Hybrid track. The melodic tonality of and big bass really come together to make a phenomenal song! Enjoy!
We also invite Caravan Palace to join us on this day full of Bangers. Their track Lone Digger is a really groovy and just phenomenal, plus the music video is strange as fuck. The groove from this song reaches the god damn starts and just makes me want to dance in my office while I type this post. Tell me what you think!
Banger Wednesday is back and I have two tracks for you today. The first is a festival ready and killer bounce track from Matt Watkins called Riot (admittedly a little in bad taste with the current events). Its got a great bouncy chorus with a great anthem like build to get the crowd pumped up. Tonally its not the best but it would for sure get most people moving!
Second up is a sweet drumstep from Pegboard Nerds, who I still don't know how I feel about. Its an overally good and solid song, with great builds and a really nice vocal drop. I just can't get over that show I saw them at and how just abysmal they were live. Try not to think about that though, because this song does have a really epic set of horns. I hope you enjoy it!
Two very different tracks for you today. The first is a heavy tracks from Ardi Diri and Chagi & Tetro called Blowout. This one took me a few listens to appreciate but overall I really enjoyed the track. Its pretty heavy but has a nice combination of big bass and tonality. It doesn't leave much to the imagination, but put me in such a good mood for some reason. Overall, a really solid heavy electro track. Second up is a track that really surprised me, an original from Candyland, who hasn't been featured on here in over a year. This track is chill but packs a big punch. With chill builds and a drop that may seem simplistic and boring, but really took me by surprise. The progression of the track mixing in little cuts of the vocals really brings out the track. It has a nice bouncy feel to it, while keeping the Future House vibe.
Solidosco is back but this time with an original. I haven't heard from Solidisco since I posted them back in April of last year (See that post here), but this original from them kills. Called Unreal, its got a phenominal groove with big bass and vocal work intertwined in an extremely slick manner. The highs, the lows, the whole song is just incredible. Give it a listen and let me know what you think!
Also up today is a remix of Dillon Francis's track called We Make It Bounce. The remix is by Mike Emilio and does a really great job of mixing bounce and funk into a really unique track. The vocal work from Major Lazer does wonders for the more relaxed times, and then the introduction of horns for the builds and drops really gives it a funky feel. Who knew these two could come together with such a sweet song!

So I have had the rhythm to Rattle by Bingo Players stuck in my head non stop for the last like 4 days and its driving me insane. The song is decent in my opinion, and the addition of Far East Movement for the official remix adds a new element to it. I am not saying its an amazing song but I can't fucking get it out of my head so LISTEN MY CHILDREN.
Now onto the song I actually wanted to share today. Henry Fong has been putting out some surprisingly good stuff lately, and his new Bounce track has a really nice disco element (just one) to it and sounds really groovy. Bouncy, danceable, melodic, this one has all the things that make bounce a good genre instead of generic.
Good News! I got my mixer back from Sam Ash! So this means I can get back to working on the progressive funk mix I had going, and hopefully have it ready by the time we hit 10k page views!
Originally today I was going to play Isosine's new mashup but the more and more I listen to it, the more I really just don't have any idea what the fuck it is. Give it a listen yourself and tell me if it makes any sense to you.

Instead I decided to focus today on a bouncy and really stellar song from Razihel, on the Monstercat Label. This one has great tonality and doesn't overwhelm you with the heaviness of the bass, which is usually my main problem with this genre. I like bounce, but some of it is just noise for the sake of noise. This one I really liked though, and there may be more bounce to come.
First up on this much needed mid-week Banger Wednesday, I have a really slick remix for you. Those of you who are as pleased with what Porter Robinson has been doing lately, especially with the release of his new album, will love this one. Lionhearted is clearly becoming one of the most popular tracks off the album, and Arty gets props for turning the remix into something special. This one has great tonality and melody during the chorus, and even after the drop Arty keeps it melodic. A great remix overall, check it out!
Second track up for today is a big remix from TJR. Usually I am iffy in the whole Melbourne Bounce genre. About 90% of the time it sounds to me like they did a lazy job and all the drops and progressions sound exactly the same. However, every once in a while I come across one I really like, and today that honor goes to TJR. His remix of Elliphant and Skrillex's track Getting Younger has a great bouncy feel to it, and he did an excellent job of working the bounce in with the lyrics and making it sound really smooth! Happy 4th of July! Two funk-tabulous songs for you today. The first is a bounce song with a very unique feel to it. If there was such thing as Western Bounce Funk, this song would fit perfectly into that category. The Zane Zero Bootleg of Milky Chance's track Stolen Dance has a very good vibe to it and sounds really cool, very different from most other bounce tracks that I have heard. Give it a listen for yourself!
Second up is the song that I am very excited to share with all of you! This funk song comes from PHNTM and is really one you shouldn't miss. Great use of instruments, great fast moving pace, and an overall great vocals to match. Give it a listen and you won't be disappointed I promise!
First of all, here is the first of the promised sets from Colossalcon! Coming from my great friend and mentor DJ XMFD, this is an hour of power and just mind blowing music. Great song picks, beautiful transitions, with an incredible flow. Don't take my word for it, press play and listen for yourself! Music has a way of describing way better then I ever could with words, you just have to hear it for yourself!
Today's track comes to you from Press Play and is an incredible bounce track. Thankfully I hve a found at least 3 new pages to go to for specifically this kind of music. I'll be honest. A whole lot of it is crap. Vocals with a simple beat put over the top, but some of the originals are pretty great and those are the ones I plan to share with you all. This one is not overwhelming but the opposite of simple, the tonality doesn't go where you would think it would and that surprised me a whole lot.
Keeping on the theme of Bounce from yesterday, and that track is still stuck in my head, I have a new one from TJR and Vinia for you. I have heard this one in a few mixes before, the most memorable one was from Dillon Francis, and if this isn't a festival track then I don't know what is. I would have liked a little more variation in the tones in the chorus, but that doesn't mean that it is a bad track. Overall, its fit for festivals and big shows, I think it would suffer in the smaller situation. Give it a listen and give me your opinion on it!
A World Premiere from ThisSongIsSick, a brand new Electro House/Bounce track that could really take off if given the right amount of exposure. Will Sparks' When The Lights Go Out has really everything that you could want in a anthem, the perfect level of House and Dancable music. Check it out and I promise you wont be disappointed!
Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is finally here, and for all you finishing your year at college or graduating, congrats and enjoy your summer! Its kinda crazy to think that summer vacation isn't a thing for me any more...
OH WELL, lets celebrate the weekend with some awesome funky music.
First up is the new one from SCNDL, bringing back his unique funky sound into the wonderful world of Bounce. This is one of my favorite sub genres just because it inspires such a feeling of joy and happiness. The Munsta brings in a great tonal sequence, that has been stuck in my head for at least a few days. Couldn't get it out of my head if I wanted to, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Last up today is a nice jucy new EP for you all from Sparx. His second EP containing 6 tracks is a great look at what the future of this overall genre of music could be. Ever since I posted one of his songs way back in the early days of this blog (Find that post right here), I have been waiting to hear more from him! No, not the castle you always wanted for your birthday party when you were a kid. House music that just has the tonality that just makes it seem to bounce and elevate your state of mind. This is a perfect example of that kind of genre. Still very true to house roots but has instrumentation that just isn't heard very often and changes the entire expectation for what is coming next. Let me know what you think of Joonas Hahmo's track, Boeing.
Since its our return to normal Friday on the schedule, I figured we might as well do something cool and over the top. So today I have 3 songs for you. One funk, one swing, and one that is free.
First up, Chill and funk from Shift K3Y. This one is fast and just has that feel good bounce to it. The vocals are repetitive but great, and its non stop from start to finish. This track, Touch, has been in playlist for some time and I am excited to share it with you!

This is my favorite genre to find new artists because it usually feels like there are really only a handful of big names and everyone else is just ok. Thankfully, through one of the youtube channels that I subscribe (FunkyPanda) and a few other places, I have found that the genre is much more prevalent and kicks SO MUCH ASS. This one from Stereo swing has the perfect bounce and "get up and move" feeling. Plus calling it Mr. and Mrs. Swing is kinda funny to me, and it does the genre flawlessly.

Finally, our last track for the day is another one from SCNDL, the same artist that brought you Bleed, the aswesome bounce song featuring the horns. This one still has the bouncy feel but is very different in the sense that this is much more house and heavy. The diversity coming out of SCNDL is awesome and I love it! Let me know what you think and hopefully we can see more artists like SCNDL and Rezonate trying all edges of the electronic spectrum.

Honestly, you all know I love Monstercat. When ever there is a new song I get super giddy, but this one honestly blew all my expectations out of the water.....with a torpedo....made of biceps. Seriously, this is my new favorite song. Full of great rhythms and even a trumpet build...to a trumpet drop. This song is the direction I hope that EDM can transition toward and get out of the boring and repetitive genres like Big Room. Give it a listen and let me know what you think!
