0529 - Restart the Week on Monday

First up on this most holy of Funkdays we have a track from Subtact, someone who has been coming in hot with great tracks.  Everyone I have heard has been amazing, and Restart is no different.  Taking a cool Funk/Future Bass combo, this one has everything you could want.  Only a handful of vocal samples, great progression in every sense, and groove that honestly caught me off guard.  Give it a listen and have a wonderful weekend!

0528 - The Disaster Right Now

First up on this Thursday is a track from Suspect 44, an unknown group until I heard this song.  It has pretty generic vocals, but I really enjoyed the build and the drop.  It is tonal, well done, and catchy.  Don't get me wrong, it is nothing super unique or original but I really enjoyed it!
Also up today is another chilled out remix from Win & Woo, this time getting their hands on Molly Moore's track Natural Disaster.  A really well done remix, this one keeps things pretty minimalistic, not adding too much but still giving it a very great sound.  Great progression playing off the already really well done vocals, and a drop that just makes me want to sit on a beach with a beer.

0527 - Banger Back For More

2 Big tracks for you today.  The first comes from Bombs Away called Everybody Stand Up.  The vocals from Lucina really do a great job of complimenting the build.  Then the drop comes up huge and heavy, followed with a rap accompaniment.  A really fun bouncy track that I can see killing.
Second up is Cazzette's new track Together (Til The Morning).  A really slick deep track that features some really deep drops and a really sexy saxophone.  The vocals really do wonders with the deep rhythms, but really the entire track is well done and one of my favorite deep tracks right now.

0526 - Welcome to What the Fuck Tuesday

Welcome to a new day I like to call What the Fuck Tuesday.  Where nothing makes sense and songs are just strange.  We start this new day with a track from Psychic Type called Indigo Plateau.  It is obviously a pokemon song, using many of the same themes in the gameboy games that I grew up with.  The song is just strange and honestly a bit bone chilling.  The middle is beautiful and well done but goes right back to being strange as hell.  Give it a listen and pick up the download if that is what you are into.

0525 - Delayed Game, One More Free Day

Sorry for the delay with Friday's post, I thought I would have time to complete it but driving wiped me out.  So today I bring you a special Mashup Monday Free Day feat. The White Panda.
They are releasing tracks like wildfire, which really makes me hope that a new album is close to being released.  One of my favorites was a mashup of Chromeo and Alesso called Cool Jealousy.  Its a great mashup using the vocals from Chromeo, and beats from Alesso.  Give it a listen, groove to it and pick up the free download!

0524 - Get Your Funk, Get it While Its Hot

The delayed Funk is here.  Sorry guys I was in the car for 8 hours yesterday and planned writing Friday's post from the passenger seat but ended up driving the whole way!
First up on this free one day delay is a track from GRiZ featuring Muzzy Bearr.  Its funky, and it has a really great groove to it.  SoulFunk is a pretty insane genre but it has such great vibe to it.  Give it a listen and pick up the free download!
Second up is a Glitch Hop track from Defqwop called Coming Home.  It has great groove, really well done vocals, and an incredible funk drop.  It has such a great dance feel and I would love to get down on the dance floor to this one.  Give it a listen and pick up the free download!

ALSO: As an apology for this one being late, and exclusive Free Mashup Monday will happen on Monday.

0523 - Stay with the Shadows

First up on day four of this Free Week is a track from Diamond Eyes and Christina Grimmie.  I remember watching videos of Christina on Youtube years ago right when she was starting to get popular, so its really cool to see her on official tracks!  This is a really chilled out remix from WRLD and does Future Bass a lot of good by keeping things beautifully tonal and progressive.  Give it a listen!
Second up is a track from Johnny Third feat. See called Shadows.  I had to listen to this one 5 or 6 times before I was for sure putting it up here.  It just seemed to get better every time I listened to it, and I really want to share it with you all.  Killer vocals mixed with great chord progression really bring this one to a special place in my heart!

0522 - FREE FREE LET IT BE FREE

First up in the most Free of Weeks is an Electro track from Le Castle Vania and Addison called What We Do.  The vocal drop is pretty cool dropping into a really heavy and full of bass section.  With high pitched tones that remind me Project 46 or Stephen Walking, this track brings a lot together!
Also free for your pleasure today is the Halogen remix of Misterwives' track Hurricane.  Killer vocals mixed with great tonality and a really catchy chorus that drops into something sick.  The drop is bouncy and extremely danceable!  Give these tracks a listen, pick up the downloads, and I will see you tomorrow for more!

0521 - Love the Free, Embrace the Free, Free like Merica

First up today is This Love from Joe Garston.  His track Quickscope was my go to track for some time, so I was excited to see something new.  Not as intense as some of his other work, this one takes on more of a happy house feel.  Using catchy tonality, and switching it up nicely halfway through, this one is not to be missed.  Pick up the free download!
If the Smoke Clears by Ooah and M!nt is a really interesting track.  It gives off that really late night, dancable, break beat feel.  I would have loved to see this track being worked on in production, because you can tell they had fun with it.  Give it a listen, pick up the download, and I will see you back here tomorrow for 2 more free songs!

0520 - Start of Another Free Week

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the start of another Free Week!  At least one free song every day this week (sometimes more)!
First song to kick off free week is one of the most chill and relaxing songs that I have ever heard.  It is Musty's remix of Ethillas' track Dear Marie.  Beautiful is the big word that comes to mind because it just covers all the bases of the beautiful chill track: great instrumentation, catchy chord progression, and just an overall sense of euphoria.  Give this one a listen, pick up the download, and add it to that chill playlist that everyone knows you have (because we all have one too).
Also free for your enjoyment today is Noisestorm's track Eclipse.  Always making consistently quality track, I really liked this one.  Beautiful intro and build into a really cool drop that mixes a consistent rhythm with a some glitched out tonal interludes.  Overall a really quality electro song that you should pick up for free!

0519 - Eric Prydz's Best Work Ever

Happy FunkDay everyone!  First up is a track from Sir Felix called Safari.  Sir Felix really hit it big with Hope that got remixed into Tiesto's Club Mix, and this one belongs right there near the best of his tracks.  Its got great tonailty, with instruments I can't really identify (I know bells, keyboards, and a few other things).  The group vocals really do wonders for it painting that picture of a safari.  Overall a great track and I hope you groove to it!
Also up today is possibly my favorite thing to come from Eric Prydz, his new track Opus which comes out on July 27th.  Really showing off his talents, it starts with a great build and finally drops HUGE around the 3:45 mark.  A really beautiful piece and easily my favorite thing he has done!  Give it a listen!

0518 - Don't Stop The Fight

The first track up today is Illenium's remix of Kill Paris' track Operate.  Its really relaxing, and really caters to the beautiful vocals from Royal.  Even though it is chill it still has great builds, chill drops, and is really catchy in its tonal movement.  A really relaxing and great track!
Also up today is a new track from Fareoh called Fight For You.  The vocals in this one are really powerful, the words and the way they are sung.  The melody accompanies it and comes in with a really nice and casually intense drop.  I have been listening to this one a lot lately and just can't get enough!

0517 - Don't Wake the Giant

Two huge bangers for you today.  The first is from Matt Watkins called Africa.  Bounce tracks are usually pretty hit or miss, and this one really caught me off guard.  A huge drop with a vocal sample mixed in, tonal bass, and great melodic movement all combine to make a huge track that I think would kill just about everywhere and anywhere!
The second banger up today is the new one from Tommy Trash and JHeart called Wake the Giant.  Tommy Trash is consistently know from throwing out bangers, huge ones and this new one is pretty up there on my favorites of his.  Killer vocals and a great build into a massive drop work amazingly in tandem.  A killer track that would be huge in just about any set, don't miss this one!

0516 - Triple Threat Track Tournament

The Girl by Hellberg is one of my favorite tracks right now (if you haven't heard it yet you can by clicking here).  Like all good songs some amazing remixes followed, and I want to share three of those with you today.
Color Source brings us a really nice future bass remix to the table, keeping the beautiful vocals intact, this one has a really nice mellow flow.  Great big bass while still keeping in line with the original tonality of the track.  Second up is the more fast paced Happy Hardcore remix from Stonebank.  Going in a totally different direction, this one speeds up the vocals a bit and adds a lot new intensity to the track.  It doesn't feel forced which is really nice in this genre, and it hits really hard and fast.  Overall, a really solid remix where in a genre where most remixes are overwhelming.  Finally, the final remix from Mr. Fijiwiji takes the vocals slower and moves to a more minimalistic approach.  Using the vocals to add glitched out sequences, this one has a really unique feel to it.  Overally, they are in order of which one I like the most!  Which one is your favorite?

0515 - Meet On Level Ground

I figured a free track was a great way to start the week off, so here is Y&V's new track Nemesis.  Not a banger not a club track, more of a personal listening track ( at least in my book), this one has a lot going for it.  It seems a bit eclectic at times, but overall it comes together really nicely.  Great tonality with an 8-bit feel mounting up to a drop that just feels fluid and a great match for the song.  Give it a listen and pick up the free download!
Second up is a bit of a more relaxed track from Freedom Fry remixed by Danielle.  Its chill with great group vocal work and a relaxed tropical feel.  It's just a really great mellow song with a really heavy indie feel.  Give it a listen and I will see you all back here tomorrow!

0514 - Bring Me Back

Quick post today, home in Cleveland with the family and have a lot on the table today.  This remix from LBCK of Patawawa's track Back to Life is pretty minimal but it has a really great energy to it.  It's got that funk vibe but keeps things pretty simplistic.  Enjoy this one and have a great weekend!

0513 - 40 free songs

Two things for you today.  First off, because voting is open for the DJ Top 100 poll, free music will likely be coming fast and frequent (pause).  First round comes from Project 46, one of my first loves off the monstercat label.  They are offering their entire discography for free! 40 tracks and 3 unreleased remixes, totally worth the big download!
The track I have for you today is the Syn Cole remix of Feder's track Goodbye.  An electro track that hits hard and heavy (pause) and really struck a cord in me.  A beautiful buildup with voice clips that transitions into an insane drop that really had me rockin out.  Great combination of melody and big bass really makes this a track not to miss!

0512 - Free Fall, Wanna Try?

A huge track for you on this Banger Wednesday.  Sash_S and Phil Phauler come together to bring us Falling, a huge club track that has amazing potential.  It has got a huge bass, great tonality, a surprising amount of quality progression, and an overall feel that I can't wait to mix at parties.  It even has a beautiful section, with piano like tones played over the faded vocals and melody.  Overall a great track, and best of all, its free!

0511 - How Brutal We Talkin Here?

Up today is a new song from Skrillex and Yogi called Burial.  I have fallen in love with rap and electronic collabs, and this one really blew me away.  The rap is really good, the build is really intense, and the drop is fucking crazy.  I was going to save this one for Banger Wednesday but I couldn't wait, its too good.

0510 - Remixing the Legends

Today's remix comes from Phil Phauler remixing Daft Punks most infamous songs.  This could technically be a mashup but I would be more likely to call it an edit first.  Combining a handful of Daft Punk tracks into a really cool and smooth track.  Daft Punk would be proud!

0509 - Bonus Mix for America

So I came across this one today and couldn't save it, so BONUS POST.  This is a one hour mix from Creek Sound featuring a live violin throughout the mix.  It is so cool to hear some of the melodies that we know played on a violin while Creek is live mixing.  So fucking beautiful, give it listen and enjoy your holiday!

0508 - Disco for America

Today I have a really mellowed out funk track for you, perfect for relaxing for the 4th of July.  It's from Besnine and Raphael called Sulu Archipelago.  It is really chill with great piano work and really beautiful instrumentation.  Got that classic funk grove mixed with some really impressive transitions and movement.  Chill, relax, and have a great holiday!  See you all back here next week!

0507- Break That Boss

First up is a really cool and relaxed track from CHIMES called Pieces.  Has a really good flow, keeps things in the happy range of tones, and just puts a good feeling in your ears and in your soul.  The vocals are multi-layered and give the track a really great sound.  The drop has a big bass, but keeps it under control with some great synth work.  Course 2 today is a new track from Nitro Fun called Final Boss.  It has a great 8-bit sound, while not overwhelming you like some of these tracks tend to do.  Great melody and great progression into a really heavy bass filled drop.  Give both of these a listen and I will see you back for Funky Friday tomorrow!

0506 - Go For that Highscore

Banger Wednesday comes in hot and heavy this week with a track from Teminite and Panda Eyes called Highscore.  Living up to the name it does sound like very kick ass music you might hear during a late level in a video game or a boss fight.  It is really a huge track, mixing in great catchy tonal sequences with a huge bass.  Lots of variety in the movement of the song, and really putting me in quite an epic mood!  Give it a listen and enjoy!
