044 - Shake This and Don't Stop

Very few can produce the sound that these two artists can put out.  Florence and the Machine provides incredible vocals and a sound that is unmatched in music today.  Benny Benassi makes traks that literally seem to shake the world, heavy bass, catchy melodic progress, and music videos that spark controversy (women and power tools).  Put the two together, and the result is truly a masterpiece.  Shake It Out was a huge track and just about anyone who listened to top 40 radio heard it and fell in love with it, but then Benny Benassi took it, flipped it sideways to make it an huge electro remix that I honestly still listen to on the regular.  Hell I listened to it in my car on the way to work this morning.  If you haven't heard this yet, better late then never!

043 - Guerrilla Warfare

Bangers, bangers, everywhere!  Today's song, that should be much bigger, is Guerrilla by Manuel De La Mare and Luca Monticelli off of Spinnin Records.  Spinnin is a big name in putting out some of the best "under the radar tracks that not many people know about until years after their release.  There is some musical beauty in finding a song that has been out for years and you think "HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?!"  From my favorite genre Progressive House, this song hits hard as they come.  Plus the trance brake in the middle is a nice little break from the norm and usual pattern and progression of songs.  Enjoy this one, and check out more songs from the label because there are some hidden gems, but you have to dig for them!

046 - Mondays are Mistakes

Everyone has their selection youtube channels and websites that they get a large portion of their music from, but there is nothing better than stumbling onto a new song by total accident.  That is how I discovered today's song, and it seriously made me happy as a clam.  This is one of those combinations that you could never tell it was multiple songs unless you actually knew who the artists were, and those seamless combinations are what makes mashups great!  This is Teqq vs. Alive & Kicking with Mistake.  Also, it mad me extremely happy that it says "Subscribe like a sir" at the end of the video.  Don't subscribe like a boy, do it like a sir! Enjoy!

042 - The Phattest of Drops

I really hope that most of you know this song or have at least heard of it, but I am guessing a portion haven't and that is why I am choosing to share it with you all this glorious Tuesday.  Imagine if you broke a song down into its individual pieces and examined them one by one, gradually adding more and more until you have the makings of an entire song.  What I am describing is either Progressive House, or the song Phat Ass Drop by DJs from Mars.  The song is a riot as a whole, literally walking you through the progression of the creation of a electro song.  And you can download it for free!  Great song to help you get through the week!

Also, please check me and all of the other great writers over at Stuck in my Skull where I am being featured this week as a new writer for the site (assuming everyone is picking up what I'm putting down!)  Another great blog that never disappoints, covering all genres of music that sticks with you and keeps you humming for months after hearing it!

041 - Idolize the New

First of all, let me apologize for being so late with Friday's post.  It was saved in draft folder and was never published, I plan to do them a few days in advance so that they can be out on time everyday from here on out.  As a thank you for everyone being so understanding, I have a bonus mix for you all.  First, Mashup Monday brings us an incredible EDM mashup that tends to be a bit sparatic at points, but is overall a fantastic piece.

041 - Virtual Riot - Idols
Also today I bring you something truly incredible.  Over the weekend I attended Matsuri-Con with one of my best friends, DJ XMFD.  Though I was unable to hear his set, he has thankfully posted it for everyone to listen to.  It is a really awesome hour long mix that is honestly one of the best sets I have heard in a damn long time.  Enjoy it and be sure to check out his other stuff on soundcloud and mixcloud.  Enjoy, and see you back here tomorrow!

039 - The Nerve of Thirsty Thursday

Everyone who has ever read this blog knows there are two things I am obsessed with musically, Ellie Goulding and Monstercat.  Monstercat has been adding artists faster than most can keep up, but trust me, YOU NEED TO.  Just about 80% of the overall music that is posted is absolutely incredible so make a playlist on youtube, buy the albums, just find a way to listen to everything they put out. No seriously, everything.  One of the newer artists to appear on the label is Favright, one that I honestly know very little about.  After hearing Nerve, I know everything I need to about this artist.  Favright has a lot of talent, a metric shit-ton of potential, and I look forward to more tracks in the future.  Enjoy this one with the volume blasting and the bass turned up high.  Enjoy!

038 - Humpday Legacy

Banger Wednesday, hump day, the sign that the week is almost over!  Today I bring you the Vicetone remix of the awesome compilation of Nicky Romero and Krewella.  Bangin, bangin, bangin.  I will just let the song speak for itself because words can not describe what music can.  Let loose and be happy that the week is half over!

037 - Surging To The Top

I am really excited to share this song with you all today.  Charlie Darker is one of my new favorites, everything that he puts out seems to get me as excited as a new Ellie Goulding Song.  This one does not disappoint.  Surge delivers with a driving bass, usually found in much less melodic songs.  Don't miss this one, its truly one of the best songs I have found this year so far!  Just as an FYI, stay tuned because I have a big announcement coming soon!

036 - Silenced by Mondays

Mashup Monday is back for another bout.  The weekend was much too short, as always.  Well Monday is here, so we might as well make the best of it!  This is a great mashup from Project 46, known for mostly electro and house songs.  They deliver like nothing you have ever heard before, I hope you enjoy it and your week starts off on a positive note!

035 - Relax Across the Ocean

Funky friday is much needed this week.  Long hours, working hard, and just waiting for the days with not a care in the world.  This song perfectly parallels with that idea.  A funky song that is great to relax or to, or can be danced to with ferocity as well.  Zircon really has made one of my favorite songs of the summer.  Across the Ocean is true to its name, relaxing, funky, awesome, just like the beach.  Enjoy and have a great weekend, see you on Monday!

034 - Geekiness Always Prevails

As many of you know, last week was geek week on youtube.  It produced a lot of great videos, but it really put out one incredible song.  Lindsey Sterling is the queen of combining geeky with awesome, using her incredible violin skills to do nerdy covers and other songs with an indredible range.  For geek week, she put out a Star Wars Medley that absolutely blew me away.  I hope you didnt miss it, but if you did please listen right now!

033 - Totally Out Of The Blue

Banger Wednesday returns with a track that I have truly not been able to get out of my head.  I heard this through plug.dj, my new favorite place to get music because its a live streaming community.  Its a Drum and Bass song that goes hard start to finish.  It will get stuck in your head as quickly as it got stuck in mine.  Sub Focus really delivers an incredible fast and incredible DnB song with Out of the blue.  Enjoy!

032 - What You Know about Nassau?

Today I bring you a song that is straight guaranteed to make you want to get up and move your feet.  A driving bass, horns that play a sequence that gets stuck in your head way too easily, and vocals that will stick with you for some time.  Federico Scavo really delivers with one of his best tracks in my opinion, Funky Nassau!

031 - Reasonably Kinda Safe

Sorry for the delayed post, work started early as hell this morning.  BUT I DID NOT FORGET YOU DEAR LISTENERS.  Mashup Monday will continue with some delay, but continue none the less!  This is the new one from The White Panda, following the popularity of Capital Cities, Safe and Sound.  This is a new mashup with awesome beats and is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  The original song just doesn't cut it for me anymore!  Enjoy!

030 - Can you feel the funk?

The end of another week.  If yours was anything like mine, then this weekend is greatly needed.  Relax bump some great tracks.  Start with this one, has a really funky beat, and makes you feel like dancing.  Msystem does a great job of putting that Nu Disco genre on the map, and I really hope it becomes huge.  Press play and let the music engulf you, you will not regret it.

029 - Don't F.O.O.L.

Today I bring you a fantastic electro house track from F.O.O.L.  This remix is by Anzo and is really one of my favorite house songs at the moment.  The backbeat is funky and keeps you moving, with melodic tones that go a bit all over the place, but in the right direction.  Perfect build, retreat, then re-drops, seriously I can't get enough of this song!

028 - Bangers are the End

Looking at Bangers, its very easy to see that melodies that are catchy make all the difference.  The track has to has that hook that gets stuck in peoples head and keeps them coming back for more.  For me, the new track from Hellberg did just that.  Great beat, awesome drops, and a perfect combination that left me speechless.  Enjoy Stockholm by Hellberg!

027 - Tuesdays Are Full Of Technicolor

Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday.  My plan is to try to get the tracks out before work, but that may not happen on some days, so they will be posted by 6pm at the latest if they aren't up by 8.  Today I bring you the newest from Madeon, one of the up and comers to the scene in the last few years.  His big premiere to the world was his live mashup, and this track is just as excellent!  Technicolor is melodic, with nice drops, and an overall great track!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

026 - Even E.T. Loves Mondays

Listeners,
I will keep you posted about the future posting times for music, because as I start my real job today, I have no idea when I will have time to post songs.  Today I am getting it done as early as I can, to start the week off right!  Today for Mashup Monday we have a remash of an excellent track by Kap Slap called E.T. Feels Starry Eyed.  3LAU took it and mashed it again, leaving listeners with a truly memorable track that gets stuck in your head pretty quickly and will change the original versions of all included songs forever.  Enjoy!

The final day of catch up week brings you a double dose of funky friday.

025- The second track of the day is from the NuDisco genre, another one that has been ruling my playlists lately.  This song makes you want to move, even if it is just your head from the chair that you are sitting in.  Brand new artist, brand new channel that I have subscribed to, and is for sure worth a look!
