0568 - Pure Saloon Style Paradise

Saturday Night did a track called Saloon that came out recently, and it feels like all EVERY word in the artist name and title.  It certainly has the Saturday night feel, as well as a very badass saloon feel like something out of the Kali 47 Music Video.  Give it a listen and make this Tuesday feel like a Saturday!
Second up today is just more proof that Young Bombs is rightfully in my Year's Best list, because the remix of Radical Something's track Paradise in you is stellar.  It does nothing like you would expect it, the drop took me such by surprise, and I loved every second of it.  The song is super chill, and for sure had me grooving in my seat.  Check this chill shit out!

0567 - Dream Like State

First up on this beautiful Monday is a track from Andreas called Awareness.  This one is beautifully relaxing, with a great chill bass and tonality that just feels kinda dream like.  Really chilled out with great progression, this one had me feeling like I just want to go back to bed and have this be the soundtrack to my sleep.
Also up today and very dreamlike comes a track from Sound Remedy and Illenium called Spirals.  The background art is a perfect descriptor for how it makes me feel, just beautiful and peaceful.  This song has a lot of calming energy behind it, and it is that energy which makes me glad to be here with all of you.  Enjoy!

0566 - Dance the Funk Out

Two tracks for you today both with some slick dancing from the dancing sensation at TakeSomeCrime.  First up is Cantina Band from Sound Nomaden.  This song is the bumpin remix of the Cantina band song from Star Wars that you never knew you needed.  Its funky, it has got a hell of a groove, and melody that we all recognize.  Dance it away!
Second up is another one from Sound Nomaden called Swing It.  This one features slick piano, and some great horns and other instrumentation.  Its got a hella slick electro swing feel mixed with a funk bassline.  This one makes me wish I could dance this well, because he is dancing the way I am feeling!

0565 - Lets Do Some Experimenting

One of my favorite channels MrSuicideSheep on Youtube has been doing an experimental week, coving genres that are unusual and strange.  One of these tracks is from CloZee called Koto.  With a very eastern feel to it, this Oriental Trap song is very unique and awesomely different.  It has such a great feel to it, taking trap music and adding a lot of instruments to produce something that at least I have never heard before.  Give it a listen!
Another track from this experimental is from Madeaux and is titled Kill for Me.  This one starts off chill and then develops into a really unique track.  It has got great progression and really feels like something brand new.  With a great vocal sample, and a shit ton of cowbell, this one really feels good in a very unexpected and very upbeat way.  A really great track that I hope you enjoy!

0564 - Music Be the Best Booty Ye Can Plunder

So I am sitting at my desk at work feeling very much like a pirate, with my fancy new eye patch.  But even my lack of depth perception can not stop the music from being delivered.
First up is a track from Disco Fries and Fatman Scoop (it has been years since I have heard that name) called Volume.  Its a great track that combines melodic builds with big drops, and this one had me rocking in my car on the way to work (which in retrospect was likely not a good idea with only having one eye and all).  No matter, its a great song, so check it out!
Second up is a bit of a deeper banger, this one has such a great dance rhythm and a deep bass.  Ash O'Connor and Curbi come together to deliver Steeper, a big deep banger.  It always starts out simplistic and then adds more and more until the song is killer and I just want to break it down.  Give it a listen and let me know what you think!

0563 - Put the Blog On Autopilot

Sorry eveyone, todays post is short and sweet since I have a scratched cornea and it kinda hurts to look at a computer screen. Up today is a really chill simplistic song from ZHU and AlunaGeorge.  There really isn't much to this one.  Just some basic rhythms, a really simple funky bassline, and vocals that carry the entire song.  Give it a listen and enjoy the simplicity.

0562 - The Wubs are Back

Welcome back everyone, thank you for being so understanding about that week break, as it was much needed.  Let's get right back to the music.
First up is ODESZA's remix of Porter Robinson's track Infinity, and it is chill as fuck.  The build ups are beautiful, the drops are a little glitchy mixed in with a continuous melody going throughout.  It is a killer remix, and although its not huge, its one that I am glad I got to hear!
Fareoh has been on my "To Watch" list ever since he released 2012 with Archie V roughly 3 years ago.  He only continues to release better and better songs in my opinion.  This one is a bit more chilled out as well, featuring a great groovy baseline.  A great funk feel mixed with electronic movement and vocals that fit the song oh so well.  Enjoy these and I will see you back here tomorrow for more music!

0561 - Breaking the Silence

This title both references both break in silence from this channel and a big meaning of the song I am sharing.  I decided to take a break from posting, but this song has helped me through a tough time and I want to share it.  I have been posting Monstercat stuff for some time, but no song has ever impacted me like this one.  Crave by Tristam is all about overcoming challenges, addiction, and other ailments.  This song is beautiful, powerful, and the music video almost brought me to tears.  It is beautiful, tragic, and provides strength in more ways than one.  Easily my favorite song of the year, and easily in my top 5 of all time.  See you guys back on Monday.  I love you all <3

0560 - Free, Funk, Mashed

Isosine is the king of mashups.  Everything he does is usually either "how the fuck did he think of that" or "oh my god this guy is a fucking genius".  His new summer mix is more the second one.  Its a pretty great mashup that goes for about 11 minutes, true there are some jump cuts in it but it still blows my mind.  Plus the continuous mashed up video is always a bonus.  Give it a listen and let it help you relax your weekend away!  Also, head to the youtube page for a free download!

Also up today is a FutureFunk collab for the ages, GRiZ and Big Gigantic come together to make Good Times Roll.  This track is literally as off the chain as you can be.  It has everything you want, horns, catchy vocals, a great build, and a drop that just has amazing instrumentation and feel.  Give it a listen, and funk up your day!

0559 - U Know What Time It Is

So there is a Gareth Emory song that gives me chills, and honestly as an artist he has an amazing talent to do that pretty consistently.  U featuring Bo Brice is a spectacular song, the build is phenomenal, the progression is on point, the drop is not too much, and vocals give me chills every time I listen to it.  I really hope you listen to this one and just let the energy of the song take you over.

Second up today is PIXL, who never seems to put out anything bad.  This track is big with heavy bass, and great tonality running through the entire thing.  It is not really dancy, but overally has a great flow and is good to rock in headphones.  I hope you enjoy today's songs and I will see you back here tomorrow!

0558 - Late to the Party

Sorry folks.  Yesterday was literally non-stop start to finish, and not a second of it had me in front of a computer to do the post for the day.  Here it is, better late than never.
First up on this most banger of almost Wednesdays, I bring you a track from Nyko called Elektron.  It is a really big track, with some bounce elements and a big bass.  It has a great feel and still elaves you with a very dancable vibe.  Give it a listen!

0557 - Trop Hip Hop

So I have been doing a lot of research into rap/tropical house remixes lately, mostly because the party I'm djing on Saturday is Tropical themed (which means I get to mix tropical house!).  I have found some really great stuff, and wanted to share a few of them with you all.  The first remix comes from Matoma, who really seems to have a talent with this kind of genre.  Taking Ice Cube's Hello and Notorious B.I.G.'s Party & Bullshit with a tropical rhythm really make for a slick track.  The rap is classic, the beats are tropical, and my ears are happy!
Second up is the Henry Land remix of 2Pac's Still Ballin and Eminem's Soldier into a really fucking great remix.  Seriously, this one flows so well it seems like it was made this way originally.  Especially the lyrics from Soldier mesh so well with the tropical tones, but really the whole track is gold.  Give it a listen!

0556 - Day Off From Everything But Music!

Hope you are all enjoying your day off from work/school or whatever it is that usually occupies your time during the week!  Giving you some tracks to help you have a great labor day!  First up is from Just a Gent called Waveless.  This one is chill but never really gets rid of the energy of a normal more intense track.  It has beautiful instrumentation and is just beautifully done!  This one really took me to a good place and I think that the instrumentation had something to do with it!  Enjoy!
Second up is a really cool drumstep track from Tha Trickaz called LEgEnd (the Es in both slots are just the horizontal lines).  Its cool unique, has a bit of a glitchy feel to it.  Really an overall surprising song, I honestly had to listen to it a few times before I truly enjoyed it but now I love it!  I hope that you do too!

0555 - Sip the Summer Till The Pitch Black

First up is a song with one of the best melodies I have heard in some time.  Mazde brings us Pitch Black, a truly beautiful work of art.  Featuring stellar piano, and a lot of other instrumentation, this one will hopefully help you to relax into the weekend with style.  Close your eyes, and just let it take you away!
Also a super relaxing tropical house song from Boehm and DVNNI called Summer Sippin'.  Its not a crazy or revolutionary song in any sense, it's just a phenomenal and well done tropical house song that really put me in a good place.  It is super chilled out and relaxing groove that will leave you wanting more.

0554 - Two More Free Friends

Today features Remixes from Two Friends.  The first is Dropout's Song Slowly, and the remix is absolutely wonderful.  Featuring some wonderful horn, and a really catchy and groovy rhythm, this track really had me dancing in my seat.  The vocals are repetitive, but the chorus is catchy, and the different styles of distortion are pretty cool.
Second up is the Two Friends Remix of the song I posted yesterday from Vicetone called Angles.  I am not sure if I like this one more or the original as both have different feels to them.  Two Friends do make a really solid remix though, something really enjoyable and wonderful.  I hope you enjoy these Free remixes from Two Friends and I will keep an eye open for more in the future!

0553 - Cupid In Action

Welcome to the only question Tom Haverford has about music and if it is good, "Is it a banger?"  The first track up today is from Borgeous and Mike Hawkins called Lovestruck.  This one has been sitting on my list for some time, and I have debating where to put it, but I believe it falls in the banger slot.  Its a great track and I would love to hear a higher quality version because the song really is pretty huge, and I hope you enjoy it!
Also up today we have a track from Vicetone called Angels.  This one really surprised me and I absolutely loved the track.  The vocals are stellar and really compliment the music.  The horns and instrumentation are really well done, and the groove has both a dance and kinda funky groove to it.  Enjoy!

0552 - WTF WRLD

Welcome back to another edition of What The Fuck.  Today's track comes from Offbeat called 90's kid.  Saying this song is strange doesn't even begin to cover it.  The content is cool, talking about stuff from the 90's that I'm sure a number of us grew up with and love, and trash talking everyone born after '96 for claiming to be a 90's kid.  Classified as Electro Swing Hop (....sure) this one has very little beat change, mainly focusing on the rap, with a bit of instrumentation including the occasional saxophone.  It is really catchy, but at the same time I really can't tell if I like it or not.  So it is welcomed to the WTF music day.
OK after that....lets actually do a song I know that I enjoyed for today as well.  Indie Dance never really appealed to me as a genre when I first heard a few things from it, but it is starting to grow on me the more and more I hear.  This track from WRLD called Little Too Close, has really helped to solidify that it is rising quick in my favorite genre list.  Little Too Close is just a feel good dance song that I can totally see myself grooving to, and totally have in the car before!  Give it a listen, and groove away to this really futuristic sounding musical experience!
