0239 - Funky Supplies is Here

3 songs for you today.
First is a sick song from Special Features, a unique NuDisco track that really caught me by surprise.  For sure worth giving a listen as it has a very unique feel.  It is also available for free by liking their Facebook page!

Second is a new song and video from Kill Paris which is funky as all hell!  Seriously thought.  Kill Paris has such a unique and original sound that I just can't get enough of!  Check out the song and rock out to it while enjoying a retro roller skating video!

Last up is another remix of Rather Be by Clean Bandit from JackLNDN.  True, I love the Magician Remix I posted a while ago but this one is done much differently.  All about being melodic and smooth, this one takes it in an entirely different direction.  Check it out!

0238 - Carousel's Love

First up today is a brand new one from Carousel.  You all know that I love their music, its the perfect blend of electro and chill.  Well they have done it again with their new track New Friend.  I can't post it to stream here because the only place that it is available is Hype Machine, but follow the link and throw them a <3 to help them get to #1~

Carousel - New Friend

Second up is a song reminiscent of Chromeo from Sam Padrul called Feel The Love.  Its nice and moving with a solid baseline and some great vocals thrown in to really bring the song together nicely!  Check it out and come back tomorrow for Funky Friday and a special message about next week's theme!

0237 - Beautiful Free Piano

You guys know I am a sucker for piano interludes.  Any song that can come in heavy and huge and then go to a beautiful piano section immediately spikes my interest.  The most recent one to give me such a joyous reaction was from W&W called Ghost Town.  Beautiful piano in the beginning moving to a really great drop.  Check it out for yourself!

0236 - Different but...Better?

Two things for you today.

A new song from Two Steps from Hell that is a Totally different direction then their usual content.  I really like it but it just feels strange coming from Two Steps, I really hope this isn't the start of a complete directional change.  I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FEEL.

Two Steps From Hell - Stay

A song that I can't honestly decide if I like or not.  It may be the video selling my on it, but I can honestly say I am confused if this is good or just generic and my mind has been corrupted by the same crap coming out day after day.  This one from Matisse and Sadko is worth listening at least a few times, but even then I still have no fucking clue what I think about it.

Matisse & Sadko - Azonto

0235 - Childhood Tendencies

Today's track comes to us from the White Panda from their new collaboration with Gazzo taking control of Naughty Boy's big chart topper, La La La.  Originally I hated this song, just because it was overplayed on the radio and honestly kind of annoying.  But this new vision of the direction the song should go in is one that changed my opinion.  A great change to the chorus, while still keeping the lyrics, and then launching into a huge drop.  Check it out and pick up the download for free if you like it!

0234 - Sequential Funk

Two fabulous funky songs for you today!
The first is a great triple collab that truly is beautiful.  Chill, bouncy, beautiful, and most of all, full of funk!  Its a little on the calm side, but this one has been playing through my speakers so much I figured that I had to share it with you all!  Enjoy!

Second up is one of my new favorite chill songs with a nice dash of funk on the side.  Very reminiscent of Kygo, this EMBRZ Remix of Joel Compass' track Forgive me has its own feel and it is one of beauty.  Not one to be missed!

Fabich & Ferdinand Weber & Dinnerdate - Souls Together

Joel Compass - Forgive Me (EMBRZ Remix)

0233 - Bounce Back

Keeping on the theme of Bounce from yesterday, and that track is still stuck in my head, I have a new one from TJR and Vinia for you.  I have heard this one in a few mixes before, the most memorable one was from Dillon Francis, and if this isn't a festival track then I don't know what is.  I would have liked a little more variation in the tones in the chorus, but that doesn't mean that it is a bad track.  Overall, its fit for festivals and big shows, I think it would suffer in the smaller situation.  Give it a listen and give me your opinion on it!

0232 - Banger Anthem

The track I have for you today are HUGE!

A World Premiere from ThisSongIsSick, a brand new Electro House/Bounce track that could really take off if given the right amount of exposure.  Will Sparks' When The Lights Go Out has really everything that you could want in a anthem, the perfect level of House and Dancable music.  Check it out and I promise you wont be disappointed!

0230 - Gettin Jiggy with Metal Alive

Mashup Monday is in full swing, and I think I finally found a solid stream of mashups to keep monday going strong through this blog.  I also have something really cool to share with you, and it comes in the form of a dubstep song that is played on a guitar.  Alive by Krewella has been huge, and the Pegboard Nerds remix was pretty stellar.  You have never heard it like this though, I promise you.

Krewella - Alive (Pegboard Nerds Remix) (Guitar cover by Cole Rolland)

Now for the mashup that makes Monday such a great day.  A little pop and whole lot funk, this mashup brings in Will Smith, Robin Thicke, Jesse J, and DJ Cassidy together for a really stellar collaboration.  Give it a listen and pick up the download if you like it!

0229 - So Funky You Can't Sleep

This track was hand delivered to me from my great friend and mentor, DJ XMFD, and let me tell you it fits the Funky Friday mold in a fantabulous way.  Its a great funk track that has great bouncy elements to it.  For sure worth a listen and a purchase!  I hope you love it as much as I did!

Cazzette - Sleepless

Also on the docket for today is a fantastic free track from Fareoh.  Funky, bouncy, and full of House, this song has just about everything that you could want.  Check it out and then pick up the free download!

0228 - Strangely Fantasmic

First up is from Millions Like Us.  This song is strange, not my usual pick for music that I like.  Its heavy and extremely bouncy, and that is something I like.  After checking out the EP, this is still my favorite song on it and it is for sure worth checking out.  I can see this one making a killing in festival/convention play.  Millions Like Us presents Poltergeist.

Millions Like Us - Poltergeist

Your second dose for the day is the Ummet Ozcan Club Mix of Tiesto's track Wasted.  The original was high on my list of liked music, but this mix just takes it up to a whole different level.  The vocals are perfectly framed around an incredible progression and just a catchy chorus, leading into a pretty nasty big room-esk drop.  Check it out.  For the record, I like people better when I'm wasted too.

0227 - Mechanical Beauty

I was ecstatic yesterday to log onto my computer and find that there was a new Porter Robinson single that had been released.  It is perfectly what I didn't expect.  A beautiful melodic piece with strange but very fitting vocals, very chill, with just the perfect amount of bass.  In my opinion, its a near perfect song (and let me tell you there are very few that fit that criteria for me out there).  Can't wait to hear what else he has in store for us!

0226 - Unlikely Collab

Today I bring you a very unlikely collaboration, but then again thats a bit what this genre is all about.  Bringing crazy shit together that you would never think would work together, like Steve Aoki and Linkin Park.  This is the Vicetone remix of their song A Light That Never Comes, and let me tell you it is very very good.  The surprising mix of the rock vocals of Linkin Park and the DJ skill of Steve Aoki really blend together very well to give a great final product!  Check it out and let me know what you think!

0225 - Mashup Mayhem

Mashup Monday, and I actually have mashups for you today!  OH JEEBUS.

First up is a great mashup taken from Hardwell's mashup of Calvin Harris, John Christian, and Nicky Romero.  This track called Next Level Summer is a pretty great combination of these two tracks, flowing together pretty seamlessly and creating something that you can barely tell is 2 separate songs.  Check it out!

Calvin Harris vs. John Christian & Nicky Romero - Next Level Summer (Hardwell Mashup)

Second up ( I think this may be the first time I have ever done 2 mashups on a Monday) is a new one from Mashup Germany.  Mashup Germany was behind the most ridiculous mashup I have ever heard, and they come back and deliver again with the Heads Will Roll Edit of their track Tsunami Rise.  I don't think its as mind blowing but its still pretty damn good!  Give it a listen and I will see you all back here tomorrow!

0224 - Can you Deal? The Funk is Real

Happy Friday everyone!  The weekend is finally here, and for all you finishing your year at college or graduating, congrats and enjoy your summer!  Its kinda crazy to think that summer vacation isn't a thing for me any more...

OH WELL, lets celebrate the weekend with some awesome funky music.

First up is the new one from SCNDL, bringing back his unique funky sound into the wonderful world of Bounce.  This is one of my favorite sub genres just because it inspires such a feeling of joy and happiness.  The Munsta brings in a great tonal sequence, that has been stuck in my head for at least a few days.  Couldn't get it out of my head if I wanted to, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

SCNDL - The Munsta

Last up today is a nice jucy new EP for you all from Sparx.  His second EP containing 6 tracks is a great look at what the future of this overall genre of music could be.    Ever since I posted one of his songs way back in the early days of this blog (Find that post right here), I have been waiting to hear more from him!  Its funky, driving, and just overall a great collection of songs.  Check out the album mix and if you like it you can pick up the EP for free!  Have a great and safe weekend everyone!

0223 - The Hours are Open

For you today I have another great collaboration between Insan3lik3 and Rob Gasser called Open Hour (they had another collab that you can check out here).  This is a really great chill and funky Glitch Hop track that was released about a month ago.  This one is perfect to just relax to, with memorable melodies and just enough bass to keep your head bobbing.  Not over the top, not overwhelming, but the perfect mixture of funk and chill.  Check it out!

0222 - The Night isn't over until you say it is

The Magician released one of my favorite remixes of the year with Clean Bandit's Rather Be (Find it here), and now a new remix of a Magician original has surfaced and it is pretty incredible.  I would consider this to be a funk banger because it really does have huge potential to be a great dance track.  Chill, Funky, and mind blowing, this track is not one to be missed!

The Magician - When the Night Is Over (Claptone Remix)

Next up fits the definition of a Banger to a T.  The Tritonal remix of Zedd's new track Find You has everything you could ever want in a great club track, in the middle of a mix, or just something to rock out to on a run.  This one is hot and has been stuck in my head ever since the Tritonal show I went to.  Listen and become obsessed!

0221 - Mind Collaboration

Today for you I have a really incredible collaboration between Tristam and Braken, both very well known for the musical genius that they produce coming together to make a truly great drum and bass/drumstep track.  Frame of Mind is a great song featuring stellar vocals, combined with the perfect level of fast paced movement and tonality.  Check it out for yourself!

0220 - Don't hit the Wonderwall

I first heard this song when Tritonal dropped it at their show in Columbus a short while ago.  And holy shit has it been stuck in my head ever since, so I looked around and finally found it.  This mashup is really really fucking good.  A perfect mix of two songs that you would never pick to put together.  Wonderwall by Oasis and Lush & Simon's City of Lights.  Shato and Paul Rockseek really knock this one out of the park, so give it a listen and pick it up for free!

0219 - Funky Recovery

I got thc chance to see Axess, Paris Blohm, and Tritonal at The Bluestone in Columbus last night and let me tell you, it was one of the best shows I have ever been to.  It was not super packed, but it was full to the point where you could feel the energy wherever you turned.  Actually had room to dance, and had a damn fine time doing it!  All three of them were incredible and are definately on my radar, but I have to say I was most surprised by Paris Blohm.  I didn't know anything about his music and now I cant get his performance out of my head!  Isn't live music just the best?

Onto 2xFunky Friday though, because I am sore and need some great funk tracks to chillax to and I am sure since the weekend is here and most finals are over that you do too!

The first one up for today is Neptune Safari with the Funk LeBlanc Remix of their track Morning Sun.  This one is funky, chill, relaxing, and just the perfect wake up song.  Its driving but the presence of the bass is minimal compared to the vocals and driving tonality throughout the track.  Start here then continue on!

Neptune Safari - Morning Sun (feat. Clara La San) (Funk LeBlanc Remix)

The next beauty I have for your ears is a bit of background funk but listening to it with a clear mind really leads to feeling of inner beauty, flight, and just overall happiness.  Fly by Uppermost has a great sound that just seems to carry you away, its a bit heavy but just enough to still feel like it was actually composed.  Don't miss this one!

Uppermost - Fly

0218 - Spit Hot Phosphor

I found something new about two weeks ago that has blown my mind.  I seriously can not stop listening to it.  Its the new track from Feint, called Phosphor.  It literally has everything that makes an excellent track; great vocal samples but nothing over whelming, driving feel, great tonality, and just an overall feeling of victory gained from defeating all your enemies....i mean its upbeat.  Check it out for yourself and be sure to pick it up if you loved it as much as I did!

Feint - Phosphor (feat. Miyoki)
