0551 - Thrive With What You Want

First up today is a really chilled out track from Yoe Mase called Thrive.  It is extremely mellow with the vocals really adding to the track.  Giving nothing but a relaxed sunset island feel, this one really had me in a great place!  Give it a listen and relax your Monday away!
Second up is an ElectroSwing track that I couldn't hold onto until Friday.  Great instrumentation mixed really well with a groove that can't be contested if you tried.  Wolfgang Lohr really brings everything with this remix of Intended Immigration's track We've Got What You Want.  Groovy with a great swing vibe this remix really just made me want to get up and dance.  The vocals are simplistic, but seem to add so much!  Enjoy!

0550 - Act Like You're Bright as the Sun

Funk is coming to help you groove into the weekend.  First up is Flava's remix of Tyler Touche's track Act of God.  It has a really sweet and classic groove that really is complimented by the vocals.  Its nothing insane or huge, just a really well remixed and funky track.  Give it a listen and enjoy!
Also up today we have the Kingande remix of Parov Stellar's The Sun.  I saw Parov Stellar and instantly got excited, seriously.  This one really gives dancing something to live up to, I cant wait to hear this one mixed and see people dancing to it.  It has great groove and just really fills up your soul with something beautiful!

0549 - Why Do You Do the DOO

First song on this day before FUNK DAY is a groovy track from Sam Padrul and Jason Gaffner.  Its a very minimalist song, with not a whole lot happening but just enough to establish a groove and stick to it.  The vocals complement the chord progression very nicely, and it has a classic kind of vibe to it.  Give it a listen!
When The End by Aruna came out, it intoxicated me.  I have no idea why but I was just so drawn to the song, and when the remixes began I was extremely excited.  The one I have for you today is from Livewire, and they speed it up but keep in the great instrumentation and piano.  The speed gives it a whole new feel but still feels melodic and full of beauty.  I Hope you like it as much as I did!

0548 - Banger While You Run and Cover

Banger Wednesday here again, and first up is a really groovy and danceable Lost Kings remix of Krewella's track Somewhere to Run.  Its got a great grove, actual instruments that sound amazing mixed in under the vocals from the ladies of Krewella.  I can for sure see this one being mixed, being danced to like crazy and I hope to use it at my next party!  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Second song for you today is from Live City called Cover Me.  Now this song is nothing "HOLYSHIT that song is so mothafuckin good", but it is a really well put together song with a very catchy melodic drop and I enjoyed it.  I hope that you do as well!

0547 - Relax the Stress Away

First track up today is from Said the Sky, who I have been really enjoying everything they have put out lately.  This track is called Run Away and has the beauty that I associate with Said the Sky.  Great instruments mixed with a sprinkle of big bass and big vat of tonality make for a really beautiful track.  Give it a listen!
Mine from Pheobe Ryan has been getting a lot of remix treatment lately, especially from Win & Woo, but this one may be my favorite.  Slowing it down, giving it a little bit of bass, and really focusing on the beauty of the sequences.  This remix from Illenium sent me to a wonderfully relaxing place, and I hope it does the same for you!

0546 - Magnificently Late Monday

I figured I would let Friday's sit up for a bit before posting today and I hope this finds you all before you hit the hay because it is super chill.  Louis Vivet did a track called Silvia, and Mielo got his hands on it for the remix.  The track is super interesting, using tonality as a buffer between the heavy bass and basically silent background sections.  It also features Piano which you guys know I love!  Give it a listen and I will see you back on time tomorrow!

0545 - The Funk that Came So Late

I am sorry Friday's post is coming on Monday but the internet was out and I wasn't able to until now.  Some great tracks to share with you including a new subgenre that I didn't even know existed.  NuJazz, kinda like NuDisco but with the Jazz Pizzaz instead.  Slynk really brings a unique track with the feel of NuDisco, but breakdowns that are jazzy and funky to the core.  Give it a listen and I wonder how much of this new genre we will see!

0544 - Look Here With Your Panda Eyes

Panda Eyes is really making a statement in the 8-bit style of music, that I have come to love, with Antipixel.  This track has everything I want, a groovy bassline, great tonality and chord progression, and its really catchy.  True, this is a song that will likely live more in headphones than speakers, but it shall live none the less.  Give it a listen!
Also up today is another release from The White Panda featuring Kygo and Misterwives called Reflection Stone.  Using the rhythms that Kygo is known and loved for and the vocals from Reflection by Misterwives.  You really can't go wrong mashing up two of the best artists today.  Enjoy!

0543 - We Can Bounce More Than Before

Tritonal and Cash Cash songs are enough to get me excited, but put them together on a bounce track and get Henry Fong to remix it?  Fantasmic.  This track is amazing, great bounce, good vocals, and weaving in all 3 of their styles into one really amazing song.  It's got great potential and I can not wait to mix it and play the crap out of it.
Keeping on the Melbourne Bounce kick, the other track I offer for your enjoyment today is from Fresh Kiwi and Adriatrix called Rhythm.  This one has more tonality than most other bounce tracks and really feels like another genre.  Its got great groove, would mix into the earlier track pretty smoothly I think (I'll have to try it to be sure though).  Give both of these a listen and let me know what you think!

0542 - BOBBY, GET THE HORNS

You guys know I love instrumentation in songs, especially horns, piano, and saxophone.  This track I found from Lea Rue features some really slick horns in the chorus.  Yeah it sounds fairly generic but the horns give the chorus a whole new feel.  Broiler really brings it with this remix, and even though it's not the most original track in the world, it is still worth listening to!
Also up today with some sweet instrumentation is the Autograf remix of GRiZ's track For the Love.  Its has such an amazing groove to it, and the piano is truly a beautiful addition to the track.  I fell in love when I heard rap, because I have fallen in love with rap and electronic collabs.  This one is for sure different, and will not be bumped at shows, but will remain a musical solace for all of us to enjoy.

0541 - Let's Stay Together

I needed a feel good day and since it is Monday, I figure everyone does.  Reality by Lost Frequencies has been out for some time but I haven't been able to find a version that I truly enjoy, but I found the Androma remix the other day and I love it.  Its got the instrumentation that I love in relaxing music, with a very classical feel.  It helped me start off my morning in a great place, and I hope that it does the same for you!
Also on the playlist for today is the new track from Cazzette called Together (Til the Morning).  Sleepless is still one of my favorite tracks of all time, so seeing something new really got me excited.  This one is wonderful and it features horns, some deep vocals, and an even deeper drop that really caught my attention.  A beautiful track that I hope you enjoy!

0540 - The FREEdom to be FUNKy

Two tracks for you today, the first of which is free and the second of which is funk (if you couldn't already tell from the title).  The free track I present for your approval is from Steerner and Martell and is simply called Sun.  This is a house track that has a great summer "happy house" vibe and really caught my attention.  It doesn't have a huge bass, but it has great groove and amazing tonality.  Give it a listen!

0539 - Duke Chillmont

Duke Dumont has a new track to kick off this Thursday that seems to never end.  Ocean Drive is such a laid back and relaxed track that it caught me off guard.  Everything I have heard from Duke Dumont has been massive, so this one surprised me.  You can tell it is still him as it has his signature style, but its so mellow and tropical that it sounds like a new person.  Give it a listen and let me know what you think!

0538 - We Banger Every Wednesday

We start this Banger Wednesday with a track from Shameless called Mammuthus.  Now this one is a bit strange with a strange drop that isn't really a drop around the one minute mark, the track doesn't really pick up until the two minute mark with the real drop coming around the 2:40 mark.  The drop is really nice though and made the track for me.  Give it a listen and give the whole song a chance!

After the track Dungeons and Dragons, I have been excitedly waiting for something big to come from Spaces Laces and Say It Ain't So is just that thing.  Its a great track with really amazing tonality, all over the spectrum.  Mixed in with some really good glitch, this track really found a place in my soul, ears, and heart.  I loved the glitched vocals, the way they are done really add great things to the song.

0537 - Those Special Musical Moments

Double trouble here on this Tuesday.  The first track comes from Define Light and is called Moments and makes me want to live in it.  It is really really well done, keeping solid tonality while adding in some glitchy elements and making it still very catchy and dancy.  I am not sure how this would do in a mix, it seems like more of a headphones or car dancing song, but I love it and hope that you do too!
Second up is This Time It's My Life from MICAR, making a new track with the melodies from Bittersweet Symphony.  It turns it into something really fun and dancy, something I can for sure mix with.  I'm not a huge fan of the vocals, but the drop really makes up for it because it is really catchy and fun.  Enjoy!

0536 - Do You Smell The Spirit?

So the last remix of a song that you expect to find is usually the one that you find.  So when I came across a remix of Smells like Teen Spirit, I shouldn't have been surprised.  It is actually pretty solid though, Sash_S and Phil Phauler really do a great job of giving this classic a solid remix that feels good and not forced.  The mashup river has gone dry so this is the best I could do today!  Enjoy!

0535 - That Archipelago is on Point

First up on this funkiest of Fridays is a NuDisco track from Besnine and Raphael called Sulu Archipelago.  It is a little on the slow side but really has a phenomenal groove to it.  A great bassline mixed in with some really sweet guitar.  Give it a listen and pick up the free download if you like it!
Second up is an electronic track from Msystem and Dona called New Day.  It has great vocals and features some really great groovy progressions.  Overall a really solid track and for sure worth checking out!

0534 - The Raven Has Come

So Dada Life was one of the first shows that I went to.  They blew my mind and threw an amazing show so I am always excited to see new stuff by them.  Their track One Last on Earth was pretty good, but the remix by Young Bombs really hit a good point with me.  Keeping the vocals in tact and throwing in a wonderfully tonal and catchy drop, Young Bombs really made a quality remix.  Give it a listen!
Also up today is a track from John Dahlback called Ravens.  This one is big in my book, a banger that I would love to mix and can't wait to hear in sets of others.  The bass, the tonality, the vocal samples, this one really fires on all cylinders. Plus the music video is fucking crazy.

0533 - Something A Bit Different

So this group is a good mix of music that I love and electronic genres.  I would like to take a step back from that second part to share something I really enjoyed with you.  I was introduced to Hilltop Hoods with Nosebleed Section a long time ago, and then really got back into them after one of my best friends in college reintroduced them to me.  They just released a new remix EP of their The Cold Night Sky Album.  These are some of the best rappers I have ever heard, and the remixes included in this album are extremely well done.  Give it a listen and pick up the free album if you enjoy it as much as I do!

0532 - How Were You Born?

Today's late track (sorry again) comes from Halogen, remixing Disco Fries new track Born Ready.  It has a really great groove/progressive house vibe and I honestly loved every second of it.  A cool build mixed in with a really nice drop, sampling the vocals and mixing them really well over the great progression.  Give it a listen and let me know what you think!

0531 - First Day Back

Sorry for the delay everyone, it was my first day working full time and I totally spaced that I wouldn't be able to do my post during lunch like I usually do.  Posts will be done the night before and uploaded earlier in the morning from now on for a few weeks.  Outside has been a massive song this year spawning some massive remixes, but most of them have been bangers.  I was relieved to hear a chilled out one from Anevo that really does a wonderful job of maintaining the beauty of the track by bringing it down and adding some more piano, a bass that grooves pretty well, and other really well done progression.  Enjoy!

0530 - Felt Like Sharing This

So I have found a really wonderful progressive house channel that I have fallen in love with.  It doesn't produce bangers, it very rarely has vocals, but the tracks they share are always just really beautiful and well done.  Also, a good amount of the time they are free!  You can find the youtube channel right here! I have two examples, first is a remix from Ryo Nakamura of Sunny Terrace's track called Rise on Mountain.  A beautiful and really well done track that just feels really mellow.  Second up is a remix from Keith Harris of Johan Vilborg's One Moment.  Really relaxing and beautifully produced.  Pick up the free download and keep your eyes out for more bonus posts because I may start doing more on the weekends!
