089 - Happy Halloween, No Free Candy For You

Halloween.  The time we remember as kids going door to door in the costumes that our parents bought/made for us and then returning home to a mountain of candy and a trip to the dentist.  As an adult in his early-mid 20s, it not consists of girls wearing little to no clothing and saying its "my costume", drunk stupidity, horror movies, and whatever else makes it bearable to be 23 and celebrating a children's holiday.  Usually, you get some pretty awesome stuff in terms of music mixes and remixes around this time because people make it spooky and awesome.  Most of the stuff I am sure is going to be released throughout the day, but I figured I would share what I have with you now!  I could share stereotypical stuff like "Internet Friends" because holy shit is that song scary, but I would rather go outside my comfort zone.  So far three tracks but more may come throughout the day!

This is a pretty cool Mashup combining everything from Three Six Mafia to the Bloody Beetroots, and holy crap I haven't heard anything from them in forever.  A pretty cool mashup, though it seems a bit forced it is still not to be missed!

The first thing that caught my eye about this was teh name, brought me back to memories of playing old side scrolling Castlevania day.  And let me tell you, this may not be a throw back, but its for sure a reason to throw your hands in the air and party like there is no tomorrow!  This song is like an electro-rock mix and it really blows up, and gets you pumped for the night!

In my opinion, Zomboy is the most consistent every Halloween because everything he puts out just has a very spooky vibe surrounding it and I love every second of it!  One of his newer tracks is Bad Intentions, and it just oozes awesomeness and fright night fun.  Enjoy!

088 - You Need the Halloween

Welcome to a very special Halloween edition Banger Wednesday!  I will be honest, this song has been waiting for this day for roughly a month.  I heard it a long time ago, and from the first time Banger Wednesday was born, I knew this would be Halloween's Banger.  Savant has always been one of those artists that either have heard countless numbers of his songs, or have never even heard the name.  It has a very spooky but also a very fun and upbeat sound, kinda like 8-bit but nothing like it at all (it makes sense if you don't think about it).  Not to mention some big bass, very unique drops all over the walls, and the vocal samples fit the music perfectly.  This is the big song of my Halloween selection, but hopefully some great stuff comes out tomorrow that I will continually post as I discover!  Enjoy the track and have a Happy Halloween!

087 - Drop the Juice

Since Halloween isn't quite here yet, I will post my favorite tracks from Halloween Past.  And likely at least 1 or 2 on the day, as stuff is released throughout the holiday.  This track that I am going to share with you today is unique to say the least, a bit of the Cuban Pete Rediculousness.  For those who dont know, my friends and I always said there was one song that should get an electro remake, and that was the song Cuban Pete from the Mask.  Quite literally took us years to find ONE.  Who would have ever suspected samples from Beetlejuice to make such a great halloween drumstep song, certainly not me 2 years ago when it was released.  Beetlejuice was just one of those movies that made your childhood awesome or scared the living shit out of you, and Figure gives it a nice drumstep twist in this incredible track.  Plus with newly announced plans for a sequel, this track needs to come to the ears of those who haven't heard it yet!  Also, you can catch the free download as well by clicking the soundcloud boxWatch the movie again, listen to the track, and come back for a Special Halloween Edition of Banger Wednesday!

086 - Back in Action

After a long hiatus, and honestly a very necessary one, Mashup Monday is back in action!  I have been doing a lot of musical research over the past few days, mostly due to my sickness and being fairly bedridden for most of it, and I think I found a few cool unique things to share with you all.  I will do my best to keep this day alive and well, because mashups are one of my favorite genres, due to the creativity put into making something new out of a few already existing pieces of music.  All of the tracks this week will be Halloween themed, and let me tell you, some of this stuff is really cool.
Mashups can be a disaster sometimes, that is what I found to be the most true while listening to countless horrible ones that just seem sloppily done.  So I figured, why not go back to the roots and go with an artist who has been ruling this genre for a while.  Pretty Lights is about as consistent as they come, always putting out something unique that sets my soul dancing, and this Halloween Mashup put out last year is something special.  4 songs, blended together to the point where you can barely tell that they were seperate tracks.  ""Nightmare On Elm Street Theme Song, Halloween Theme Song, some dark Bach Fugue 9, and of course, the super sweet and creepy Crypt Keeper's laugh from Tales From The Crypt."  This does not disappoint, and neither does the free download!  Enjoy and I will see you back here tomorrow!

085 - Feel Good Friday

Sorry for the last few days everyone, I have been pretty sick.  But I woke up this morning and I am feeling much better honestly.
Today I bring you one of the funkiest tracks I have heard in a damn long time.  Skip through the first 30 seconds because I have no idea what the hell that noise is.  But what follows is truly incredible, combining the genres of funk and 8-bit into something that blew my mind.  Msystem tends to release awesome songs like this fairly frequently and you should for sure keep an eye on them!  Listen to this, have a great weekend, and I will see you all back here on Monday!

084 - Get down with the sickness

Sorry guys, still sick.  Not feeling too talkative or creative so I am going to leave you with my top five songs that I am listening to currently.  No genre restrictions, and I will be honest, a bunch of them have already been posted on here but here are my top 5 songs currently.

5. Play Hard (R3hab remix) - David Guetta
Awesome remix of a incredible song, it never gets old to me and I could listen to it 100 times and never get tired of it.

4. Hammer - Tom Fall and Ben Nicky
This is one that has been in my "to mix" queue ever since i first heard it.  I love it and cant wait to put it into a mix of my own.

3. Yuk It Up - The S
Just an overall great track.  Only a few minor things I would say, but its one that I love to listen to and I get a huge grin on my face when it comes up on shuffle.

2. Apollo (original Mix) - Hardwell
This is like a new song everytime I listen to it.  I can not stop listening to this track and I honestly think that this is one of those songs that the remixes will all suck because the original can't be outdone.

1. Need u 100% (dave edwards remix) - Duke Dumont
This song has everything I want in a song.  Awesome vocals, a great drop, and a progression that never quits.  Enjoy it and let it take over your body.  I HOPE YOUR BODY IS READY

083 - Sickly Banger

Today I bring you a brand new song off the monstercat label.  This one is a drumstep song which quickly is becoming one of my favorites on the label.  Drumstep is a newer genre and continually surprises me.  This track is really incredible and I can't wait to hear more from Braken.  Sorry for the seeming short post I am actually feeling pretty sick.  But music is the universal medication, I guess I just didnt get my daily dose yesterday.  Enjoy the track and stay healthy!

082 - All Around The House

House is the reason I am where I am today.  Without the discovery of house, my love for progressive house (my favorite genre), and electro house, I would likely not be running this blow, let alone interested in this kind of music as a whole.  Honestly, who would have thought that Disco House would be a thing?  But hey disco + house has to equal something great, and damn skippy does it.  An awesome funky beat, with an awesome retro sample that really brings the entire track together.  Funky like disco, driving like house, this track by Cupcakes is honestly one to listen to on repeat a few times.  Keep an eye out on this genre and I will to, hopefully bringing you more of this kind of stuff (because lets be honest, bangers and funk are my favorites to share).  See you all tomorrow for Banger Wednesday!

081 - Manic Monday

Mondays are rough, and today is no excuse.  Today has been a very long and strenuous day for me, which is why this post is coming so late in the day.  Well, still on the look for unique mashups that aren't the same 3 artists I seem to be posting on this day, so once again, Monday is a normal music day.
Today I bring you a song that I am sure you have all heard at one point in the last few weeks.  I am sure you have all seen that Toyota commercial with the evolution of one of their cars, and then the newest one comes out followed by a pretty bangin electro house/dubstep song.  Well since I watch most of my tv through hulu, I have seen this commercial too many times to count.  Also, I am glad to see electronic music making its way into mainstream, but this also worries me because of the overexposure and horrible creations that come of it.  Look at Brittney Spears' new song, horrible, absolutely horrible.  This song is honestly nothing special or exceptional, but it keeps coming back and I throughly enjoy it every time that I hear it.  I hope you like it as well, and I will see you back here tomorrow (earlier I promise) for the next track!

080 - Weekend Relief

Finally, the weekend is here.  This week has been a bit crazy for me, and I am guessing for all of you as well (unless you are on fall break in which case, I am so Jelly you could put me with peanut butter and make a sandwich).  I had a lot of trouble trying to select a song to play today, because there are so many great songs on my radar and sadly none of them really fit the bill for what friday is all about musically on this channel.  So what the hell, I will give you a few of the ones I was considering.

The first track is funky as all hell, and I was saving it for a special occasion (but in my mind the weekend is a special occasion because working full time is rough).  This is a truly excellent electro house song that is done by Acid Drink and the title really reflects the visuals that come into your head when you close your eyes.  Future City just has a feel to it that you are someplace new and incredible and just seeing everything truly for the first time.  Great to play in the car (just don't go 20 over like I did), great to play on a run, just a really awesome song overall.  THE FUNK IS REAL.

080 - Acid Drink - Future City

The next song I was going to pick for today is the new one from 8-bit sensation AdhesiveWombat.  Just having an awesome name is not enough, they live up to what you think the animal would actually be like, excuse my language, Fucking Awesome.  I look forward to every new track, because this group redefined how I look at 8-bit music.  Usually its too much, very annoying, and in your face, but AW really found the perfect blend and this song is no different.  Great song with surprising range and progression, a nice bass, and competing counter melodic tonality.  Check it out and get it for free by following the soundcloud download link!

079 - Story Time

Every once in a while you find an artist that really surprises you.  For me, that song recently has been KhoMha.  And there is a good story behind this too.  KhoMha is a really talented artist, but his style of electronic is a bit different than what is considered the norm.  Instead of just building up to a drop, he does a sort of "reverse drop" or anticlimax in some of his songs.  Honestly, I started out as not a huge fan of it but I am liking it more and more as time goes on.  There is a story about a song, and then another of his songs that I want to share with you.

STORY TIME:  So I was driving to do some errands yesterday, and was rushing home in order to meet the candidates that we are working with in order to try and find a new roommate.  Enter HUGE traffic jam on the highway, and when it is about to clear up this song comes on.
The jam starts to clear and we start moving, and of course I am rocking out in my car because thats one of my favorite things to do.  Next thing I know I look to my rear view mirror and see police lights, and look down to my speedometer: 86 in a 65.  Oops.  The cop comes over and asks me all the standard questions and I explain to him my situation, he is very understanding but still mad that I was driving so fast.  He asks why my phone is sitting on in the seat next to me, and was I texting and driving.  I said no and explained how I was playing music through bluetooth to my stereo.  He was so confused to see such a nice stereo in such an old car (1996) and started laughing.  *at this point i knew I could get off without a ticket because laughing cops are nice cops and are therefore considerate cops.  He cracks a joke or two about my car being so old and the stereo looking so "out of place", and then another about how "I must have been listening to techno beats or something".  At this point I lost it.  Started laughing uncontrollably.  Most likely it was nervous laughter but still, I figured since he was laughing it was cool if I did too.  He asks to hear what I was listening to out of curiosity and I put on Cyclone by KhoMha (not his best, but a nice anticlimax).  He says I should listen to something a bit slower in order to keep the car at a certain speed, tells me to stay safe, have a nice day, and he returns to his car.  I nearly jumped for joy.  Make a cop laugh and kiss his ass and occasionally everything works out in your favor.

But enough about my run ins with the police, lets get to some music.  Since I mentioned it, I will link Cyclone at the bottom of the post.  But my favorite song by KhoMha is Dimensional, which I honestly found through youtube comments (surprisingly some of the people who talk shit know what they are talking about).  This is a great face paced, in your face track track that doesn't stop and really drives it home with a very "stuck in your skull" mentality (another great music blog btw).  Enjoy it and I will see you back tomorrow for free/funky/kawaii friday, haven't decided which one yet (one coming up I will try to do all 3 in one day!).

078 - Full Album Funk

Banger Wednesday!  Today I have two very exciting things to share with you all!

The first is a truly incredible track shared by my good friend DJ XMFD, who I have mentioned and never introduced (sorry dude).  For those of you that don't know him, he is an incredibly talented DJ out of my former home town in Cleveland Ohio.  He has incredible talent mixing music, and is a regular on the Convention-Rave circut.  I know he is a frequent reader of this bog (sorry for sharing so much music you gave me, but its all too good!), and you should check him out on soundcloud (Check DJ XMFD's Soundcloud Here!).  He shared a track the other day that quite literally blew my mind, and I can not think of a better example of what a perfect Banger is.  Deorro is fairly new on the scene, and most things I have heard from him have been pretty good, everything has at least been above the average.  THIS ONE THOUGH, is seriously one of the best tracks I have heard in months.  From the first note, the track is different, and hooks intrigue with a surprising initial build.  Progressive has been my favorite sub-genre since I heard Nicky Romero's track Camorra some years ago, and this does the genre DAMN proud.  Take a listen and prepare yourself, because there is no way you are ready for this.

The second piece of music I bring you today is straight from one of the funkiest artists around today, GRiZ.  Today he dropped his new LP which is full of tracks that get your blood flowing with a voracity that is rarely seen in music today.  The amount of soul and funk that he infuses into this album is seriously mind-blowing.  The album is a nice combination, covering all ends of the spectrum for funk, soul, and electro as a whole.  The best part?  You can pick it up right now. FOR FREE.  Seriously, even if you aren't a fan of these genres in electro music, or you have never heard of Future Funk or Electro Soul, give this album a try because I have been listening to it pretty much non stop ever since I woke up about 3 hours ago (even quietly at work because I can't bring myself to turn it off) and I could listen to it all day.  It looks like the download will only be for about a week until the album is released SO PICK IT UP ASAP.  My favorite song so far off the album is either Gettin' Live that was release about 6 months ago, or Simple feat. Floozies.  What do you think of the album?  Let me know in the comments!

077 - Great Music is Discovered, Not Hand Delivered

Before I get into the music today I just want to take a minute to talk about an artist (I may do this more frequently from time to time) that you all should know if you like this genre, or maybe this will help you discover more of his material.  Every year djmag.com puts out a list of the top 100 DJs of the year, and making this list is a huge honor.  One of my favorite new groups , Project 46, barely made the list at #100, and it is still considered to be an incredible accomplishment.  While you can go back and see how artists have fared, how many spots they have moved since last year, and who is new to the list, there is one thing that remains consistent.   Armin Van Buuren.  Every year since the list started in 2007 he has been ranked #1, except for 2011 where he held the #2 spot behind David Guetta (who had an absolutely massive year).  You would think a huge artist like this would be well known by fans of electronic music everywhere, and you would be so wrong.  I have been asking the people I know who enjoy this music, and other then the ones who are DJs and spin some of his music, very few people have any idea who he is.  True, his stuff may not be on the radio in America and gets overshadowed by mainstream artists like Avicii, Skrillex, and David Guetta (who are all very talented, don't get me wrong), but this shows that people expect the music to come to them.  If you want to find unique, awesome, one of a kind music, DON'T DO THIS.  Where do you think I find 90% of my music?  I search blogs every day, listen to soundcloud streams, youtube artists, all just to find maybe one song that blows me away.  But it makes it all worth it to have in my library, share with my DJ friends, and share with all of you.  I guess the main point of this rant is that I hear so many people say they cant find good music so my advice to you is GET OUT THERE.  Look everywhere, anywhere, all over the walls, because the place you think you may find garbage music, may surprise you every once in a while.
That is a rant that has been holed up for sometime and it feels nice to finally get out of my system.
OK OFF MY SOAPBOX. Onto some music :)
This is the perfect example of trying new artists.  I first got hooked on Monstercat from listening to track by Pegboard Nerds and Project 46 and decided to listen to every song they release (3 a week), and I have found some of my favorite tracks through this process.  This track is just that, one of my favorite Electro tracks currently, surprising and incredible.  Sugar Rush by PIXL incorporates all of the best features of tracks into one; great tonality, good progression, a little dash of dubstep, nice bass, and a chorus that evolves throughout the track.  Give it a try and get out there to discover some new music! See you all right back here tomorrow for Banger Wednesday!

076 - Best Haitus Ever

Welcome back everyone!  If you are all like me, then that weekend went way too fast and being back at work/school is killer today.  It just needs to be the weekend again...right now.  Well we might as well make the best of it and get to some music.  Mashup Monday is still on Haitus due to lack of material, so lets kick things off with a great track.
Today's track has been in my library for quite some time, and though the song is really great, the track is made 100% by the music video.  Its a pretty decent track nice beats, fairly average progression, and vocals that are a bit repetitive.  However the video features all of the icons from fast food (Wendy, Jack in the box, The Burger King, Ronald McDonald, etc.) rolling through a town in a car, doing illegal things, and having a great time.  Its a bit creepy and fairly graphic, but I absolutely love it because it shows the dark side of their job and something most people have never though of.  Enjoy this video, and I will see you back here tomorrow!

075 - Super Free Friday (X3 edition)

Hooray for friday!  Thank god, this week has been so long and I am so thankful that in just a few short hours it will finally be over.  For those who work full time, you know exactly what I am talking about.  Well lets start things off right!  Here are 3 songs that you can download right now to get the weekend started!  ALSO: Quick little question for everyone.  Looking to incorporate a little more discussion into my videos and trying to figure out how everyone gets to this blog (I personally would like to do it through this blog but thats just me).  So here is a question: What is your favorite electronic album (any sub genre) of all time?  Either post here or on the facebook group and based on responses we will go from there!
FB Group: (https://www.facebook.com/groups/380390475392016/)

Deorro is a magician.  Lets just start off by saying that.  His track has a hook-line that is catchy and lets be honest, who doesn't love a bootie in their face.  Not to mention the track has very nice progression, with great little additions (4 bar/8 bar).  Not to mention the drop is filthy dirty, and I mean that in the best way possible.  I can for sure see this one making it a bit further and showing up in mixes, clubs, and who knows where else.

075 - Deorro - Bootie in Your Face (Download button at the bottom of the player)

Flaxo's remix of Cash Cash's track "Take Me Home" gives us our chill remix of the day.  This sounds a lot like the music that my friends at Carousel release, with a little different direction on the vocals.  Still, this song is very relaxing and hits hard in all the right places.  Not to mention a very cool build around 1:45, and a very surprising moomba-esk/big room drop.  Enjoy this one in a small group of friends or as the build up to later and bigger things.  You know you want this song, and you want it now!

075.5 - Cash Cash - Take Me Home (Flaxo Remix) (Download button at bottom of player)

Finally, for our last song of Super Free Friday, comes from Jay Cosmic.  I have been following his stuff for a bit and he never seems to disappoint.  To show you how awesome he is, he has said the label of this song is "Fire Breathing Unicorn" style......what.  This electro house song is clearly one of my favorites due to the awesome synth before the huge drop that hits hard as they come.  Set in with nice melodic interludes that bring it back down only to bring it right back into your face with the synth.  The song as a whole is masterfully done, and I can't wait to hear more from him.

074 - House of House

Gotta love double dose week eh?  Two awesome songs to listen to today, one of which you can have in your possession for the low low price of $0 (aka FREE).

Shockone is making huge splashes into the music-verse ever since their debut album dropped in April of this year.  I keep finding tracks off their album "Universus" that blow my expectations clear out of the water and this track is one of those for sure.  I first heard it in my car with my phone's music on shuffle, and was a little turned off by how dubsteppy it seemed (as you all know, I am not a huge fan).  But after listening to it all the way through, I found my self car dancing and loving every second of it.  Check this one out, and for sure check out Shockone's other material, because if this is any indication of the future work that will be produced, they are high on my "watch" list for sure.

The next track that I would like to share with you today is from someone who has a sound much similar to that of Mord Fustang, if you have never heard of him check out "Electric Dream" or "Lick the Rainbow".  Mostly derived from a very 8-bit-sounding progression, it has a very funky beat that gives into a very nice electro house song, not one that would be considered huge or played in shows, but still a very nice one to just kick back and relax to.  CHB is still pretty off the radar, but I find that artists off the beaten path usually produce some of the best stuff.  Give "Digital Fields" a listen and if you like it, check out the free download as well!

See you all tomorrow for a bonus edition of Free Friday!  How many songs will it be?  I will leave you guessing until tomorrow!

073 - Twin Bangers

For the first time since I have started this blog, I have a massive backlog of music.  Literally 2 playlists with 30+ songs in each, so I have decided that all the rest of this week is going to be double week.  Double bangers today, two more songs on thursday, and at least two free tracks on friday.  I have had a bit of time and have been going through a lot of songs lately, so I want to share them all with my loyal listeners and first timers as well!

This first banger is one that comes to us from the King of mainstream bangers these days, Avicii.  This is one of his older songs, Fade Into Darkness, and this remix came out a while ago but old stuff can be just as good as new.  This is one of the few times with Avicii where I like the remix better than the original (the only other is with Levels, because there are about 10 great remixes of that track).  It gives it a very House feel with a lot going on at once, but Albin Myers brings it together near flawlessly.  How do you think this stacks up to the original? (trying to facilitate some discussion going in the comments).

The next banger for the day comes from Spinnin' Records (a staple in the genres this blog specializes in), and they have once again put out something that I am a little sad I found 2 years after its release.  I have heard the original version of Spencer & Hill's track "Believe It", and wrote it off because I wasn't really that impressed with it.  While compiling some playlists I came across this remix that slipped through the cracks in my music.  I am so glad I found this remix by Cazzette because I can't stop listening to it.  The chord progression during the build blows my mind and mixes nicely into the drop.  Enjoy it and I will see you back for a double dose on Thursday!

072 - Too Much Free Stuff

I have too many songs to share with you all that have free downloads, and some of them are on an expiration so I figured I would make Tuesday a free day this week as well with multiple songs for you all.  Today I have one stream song and I free download song all my loyal listeners.
The first is a remix of the new song from Icona Pop.  True, I didn't love their first bit hit "I Love It".  It seemed very thrown together at the last minute with lyrics repeated way too frequently, however I did find more than a few remixes of that song.  That is why I was very excited to find this remix of their stuff, they have a good framework of a song but it seems that someone else needs to get their hands on it to complete it.  That is exactly what CID does, takes the decent song and turns it into a huge club anthem.
Next up is a remix of the new one from Duke Dumont, starting out as a really catchy house tune it gets a nice indie/electro/pop makeover from Dave Edwards.  Seriously this song blew me out of the water and I downloaded it nearly immediately.  It is catchy, nice and light, pretty damn funky, and gets stuck in your head really easily.  Enjoy these and I will see you for banger wednesday tomorrow! The download button is the bottom left of the player!

072 - Icona Pop - All Night (CID Remix)
072.5 - Duke Dumont feat. A*M*E - Need U 100% (Dave Edwards Remix)

071 - Manipulating Monday

I will be honest with you, mashup Monday is getting hard for me to write once a week and discover new mashups because I seem to be posting the same artists over and over again.  Therefore Monday will now be treated as a normal music day, with mashups thrown in every other week still on this day.  I will look around and see if maybe I am just looking in the wrong places and will bring it back asap if this is the case.

Today I bring you a special treat.  As most of you know, tomorrowworld was just recently.  To those who don’t know what this is, it is one of the biggest electronic music festivals next to Ultra and basically has everyone you ever need to hear and see.  Well, for those of us who didn’t want to camp out for 3 days, the website This Song is Sick has posted all of the sets from the best of the best.  Most of the big names have hour long sets and some of the lesser known ones have 30min sets but all are great and for sure worth your time!  My favorites are the sets from Armin and R3hab!  Take this opportunity to listen to an artist you may not have heard much from and find a new talent!  None are available for download but all are available to stream for free!  Enjoy and see you back here tomorrow!

070 - Go Go Friday

Nu Disco is one my favorite new genres breaking into the music scene lately.  True it has a lot of progress in its future, mostly because it hasn't really hit mainstream electro lately, but I feel that it will be a hit with those that may not particularly be into most electronic music.  This one has a very funky feel to it, one that throws me back to playing Jet Set Radio on the SEGA Dreamcast.  By the way, if you haven't played that game or heard any of the music for it, you need to find a copy of it asap because it truly is an exceptional game!  This song a great example of what this genre can do, and I look forward to more exceptional tracks like this one in the future.  No shame in dancing to it!  Have a great weekend and I will see you on monday!

069 - Week's Finale

If you haven't used Thissongissick and you are a big fan of electronic music and the variety of music that I post on this blog then you really need to check it out asap.  Imagine this blog on a huge global scale, with funding to do contests, share world premiere new tracks, give new artists the fair shot that they deserve, and be a name that most people who frequent the internet for music know and respect.
Yeah, that about covers it.
Well today I bring you a track that was given as a free download from this great site.  This is a track I just recently discovered but it is already making a great impression in my music mind.  It reminds me a lot of the Charlie Darker track I played on the radio frequently, "This Automatic" (will provide link below the video".  This is a big song with tonal drops that keep it in your face the entire time until the song comes to an end.  Very house, very good, very worth your time!  Plus there is a free download and everyone loves free music!  See you back here tomorrow for Friday's track!  Same name, same bad hairdo, same great music.

068 - Fight as a Warrior

I love bangers.  There, I said it.  Big tracks that get everyone pumped up and dancing like they have lost their mind put me on a new level of obsession.  These tracks are the reason I love electronic music, and music in general.  Vocals that appeal to everyone, nice lulls in the correct places to bring the song together, and then huge drops in order to blow everyone's mind.  This song seems pretty off the beaten path, and these kinds of songs are the ones that I love to share.  I could share artists like Tiesto and Avicii everyday for a year, but selling the underdog and getting new artists noticed and into the scene is one of the reasons I do this blog (along with a love for music and sharing it with people).  After hearing the original, but Lush and Simon do a really excellent job of bringing this track to life, and I honestly like this remix much better.  That is the glory of remixing though, you can take a beautiful song in an entirely different direction and surprise everyone! I don't see why this track is not huge, but I couldn't wait to share it with you all.  I hope it pleasures your eardrums as much as it appealed to mine!

067 - Collaboration: Awesome + Favorite = Mind Blown

First of all, before I get into my big love for this song, if you haven't heard Krewella's new album, go listen to it now.  I honestly never thought much about Krewella and always pegged their music as nothing too exceptional.  I am one to admit my mistakes, I MESSED UP BIG TIME.  This album is honestly one of the best that I have heard in a long time.  Props to them for making something so exceptional, my favorite songs being "Come and Get It" as well as the one I am going to share with you today titled "This is Not the End".  Not only does this song appeal to just about every electronic music bone in my body, but it also features one of my favorite DJ groups, Pegboard Nerds.  I follow these guys religiously and download just about everything they put out because they continue to amaze me.  The combination of these two groups is really one for the ages, and easily the song to listen to off of Krewella's album.  Here's the kicker, Monstercatmedia is giving the song away for free.  Its for sure worth the download and I will provide the link below.  This track is dedicated to second chances!
